Finally good and different Fast-Food in Ulm!

A couple of days ago I first saw that the old Kebab place that used to be in the same store Vegetabile is at now had closed and instead there was a new Vegetarian Fast-Food Restaurant. I was very keen on checking the new Place out since I had always missed an affordable Fast-Food Place in Ulm that separated itself from all the Kebab Stores and Subway/Burger King/McDonalds Restaurants.
I'm writing this review after having just come home from eating at Vegetabile and I have to say i'm more than impressed. The first impression when looking at the menu (which contains mostly italian and mediterranean style dishes) is - "how the hell am I supposed to decide on anything with so much good Food?" but the owner is patient, very nice and helpful with what to choose. Having settled on sharing a plate of Antipasti and Gnocci with Vegetables for ~7€ each between two of us the food is freshly prepared in the kitchen and ready within less than 10min. The Antipasti plate is definately worth it's money, it came with sundried tomatoes, amazing olives, couscous, grilled vegetables, red/white beans and bread, all of which were exceptionally good. After the Antipasti plate we were brought the Main course which was served with self-ground Grana Padano, not the powder you get in most italian places and tasted just the way you love Gnocci with vegetables - with a hint of Chili in the perfect dose.
The ingredients are all vegetarian/vegan and mostly organic but because of the more or less budget oriented menu they cannot just use organic ingredients.
All in all the perfect place for a quick lunch during a lunch break or for some good takeout if you're just too lazy to cook at home one night.
The only thing they could improve would be to get rid of their plastic takeout boxes and substitute them with something biodegradable.
Fair prices, Very good food, Very nice owner
Takeout boxes are plastic
