Located at the Government Complex building, near the Immigration department, there are 2 large food courts. One of them has a vegan food stall selling basic Thai vegan dishes. The owners used to operate UR Station in Suan Pluu when the main immigration service was there. Reported open June 2023. Closes 2pm.

Government building entry - Edit
As this is a government building, you can’t just go there to eat unless you are doing visa related things. Why did the user who posted this listing and other users who commented below fail to mention this?

"A VEGAN" - Edit
Previous review is accurate. Next to Krungthai Bank in the basement of building B. It's a non-descript food court and the shop is in the back left. Shop 14. Quite a few options. I got 3 choices with rice. 45 THB. Tasty and vegan. 👍🏼

Vegan oasis in government complex - Edit
I'll try to clear some confusion about the location. Immigration is located on the 2nd floor. Take the elevator to the 1st floor. There are two food courts on this floor - you need one to the right (next to Krungthai bank). Once there, look for a small stall on the left with triangular flags.
Read moreOverall, it's a decent place to grab a bite after dealing with bureaucrats, and it's very cheap - 50b for three toppings and soup. I didn't notice a particular MSG-laden taste. Actually, the food seemed more bland and healthy than I normally eat. Mildly spicy.
Another thing to note is the selection wasn't as great as in older photos. Hopefully, this will improve once tourists return!

Cheap and easy (once you find it!) - Edit
The directions on Google maps for this place are incorrect. This restaurant is located in Government building B, in the basement. Look out for a shop with the name 'Beauty for you', opposite you will find the entrance to a food court where this cute little kitchen is located, surrounded by other kitchens (less cute because of dead animals). Do not mistake this food court with the fancy green-bannered food court (it is just a simple entrance with a small poster saying FOOD COURT). The food is tasty and cheap but I'm pretty sure it's an MSG party. If you don't mind it, then you will have a blast of a time. I prefer to avoid it but there was nothing else around and I had to wait for legalisation of papers so this was the nearest option. I will definitely come back if I ever find myself back at the Thai Ministry of foreign affairs. I had the mock meat with bamboo, slightly spicy aubergine and noodle soup. Yummy!

Hi, I have tried to correct the map marker, but it's hard for us to know without being there. If you are able to help out by moving the map marker to the correct place that would be extremely helpful! :)

A vegan oasis in a meat desert - Edit
Every time I go to immigration for visa extensions or 90 day reports or work permits, I go early and have breakfast at this vegan food stall at the Chaeng Wattana Gov't. Complex. Then after I finish my business, I have lunch here as well. This place makes going to jump through the hoops worthwhile. I wish it were closer to where I live.

Cheap and adequate - Edit
Adequate food considering cheap price. Some dishes dry some too oily but acceptable for price and good to see a vegetarian option while waiting for visa extension.

It still exists and is nice to try! - Edit
Since not everybody was able to find it, I'd like to confirm it was still operating in November'17. Note there are few food courts here (Govt Complex building B) with two main of them called "Food Plaza" and "Food Court". You need the second one! Stall number is still 14. Food is traditional Thai Jay things with steamed rice. Some dishes are spicy but not too much.
Read moreI was really happy to find it (thanks to HappyCow and all it's contributors!!) while waiting for my documents being legalized in Department of Consular Affairs which is in 15-minutes walk from here. Also happy to see government people have this option for their daily lunch!

Thank god I finally found this place. If only I had found it sooner it would have saved many trips to immigration!
Read moreI paid 60 baht for a plate of rice with FIVE different toppings. Loads of mock meats as well as veggies and noodle dishes.
The food isn't particularly hot but didn't bother me at all. Really great flavours and the lady was friendly.
Such a convenient way to kill time at immigration!
Oh and there are two food courts - I went to the wrong one to begin with. If you pass "mister donut" you're going in the right direction!
Pros: price, taste

Great Food - Edit
I was stuck at immigration for a few hours and came across this place in the food court. The food was good quality and quite tasty. It's the only place to get vegan food if you're stuck at immigration.
