Tasty

While others have commented that there aren't a lot of vegan options on the vegan menu, which is true, I've had the vegan souvlaki plate a couple of times and enjoyed it.

The plate comes with dolmathes, a large plate of pita bread with delicious, very garlicky skordalia made with mashed potatoes, fresh cucumber, tomato and peppers and a few olives. At dinner, the plate comes with some kind of veggie stew. I am not sure how authentically Greek it is but I enjoyed it.

The dinner portion is large and I ended up bringing a lot of it home with me.

Pros: Staff is familiar with vegan items, Skordalia is delicious

Cons: Had to park at McDonalds next door :)

meh taste, kinda pricy

It’s nice that they have a vegan menu. It would be nicer if it had more than two options in the dinner section.

For when you're not Greek and crave Greek

Omnivores love this place but I don't think it's so great for vegan options. That's ok given that it's not a vegan restaurant. When in a mixed group, there is something for everyone. After visiting Greece, I was really craving skordalia and was happy to see that Vasili's has a vegan skordalia. It's really creamy, almost like mashed potatos. Whereas all the versions I had in Greece were not creamy. Must be extra oil because it feels so heavy that I start to get sick eating too much of it.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Heavy food

Yummy!

Went here yesterday with my bf and was super excited to find out that they have a menu for vegans (just ask your server). The girl taking my order was being trained and there was someone right there letting her know how to place an order for a vegan like me. I ordered the vegan gyro and was not disappointed! Definitely worth trying.

Solid spot for vegans

I went to Vasili’s for lunch one afternoon, my first time going. I had driven by a bunch of times but had never thought much of it. I was looking over the regular menu and saw the vegetarian items, of which there were a good amount. I told the waitress I was vegan and she said they had a full vegan menu, and I knew I was at a good spot. The vegan menu has probably 15-20 items that you can get, from gyros to pastas. I ended up getting a gyro with a side of fries and it was great. Lots of vegetables and flavor and big portion. Sauce was a bit heavy but nothing bad about the dish itself. Definitely recommend!

Pros: Lots of options, Big portions, Accommodating for vegans

Now Featuring Vegan Menu Section!

I first visited this restaurant as an omnivore and have visited since going vegan.

It was December 2015, and must have been an off day for the waitress I had, because she wasn't familiar with which foods were in fact vegan. Despite not being sure about the menu she was friendly and provided me with a couple vegetarian suggestions. I was too hungry to bother finding another place to eat so I gave it a shot.

I had good dolmas, crispy fries, and a nice salad.

I was recently told that they have expanded their menu to include a dedicated vegan section(I'll upload the picture of the menu a friend sent me)!

I will be updating my review when I visit Vasili's again.

Pros: Friendly waitstaff, Prompt service, Fresh food, Vegan menu section

Cons: Serves meat, Can get crowded on weekends
