Fabulous food, many vegan options, service was ok

Food is fantastic, prices are reasonable, there are lot of options, and many of them vegan. The server was very knowledgable about what had dairy in it, so we had no trouble at all ordering vegan.

We had Vegetable Samosas, Baingan Bartha, Batura, Masala Dosa, Special Rava Masala Dosa, and Vegetable Uthappam. It was all delicious, presented well, and served hot.

My only complaints would be that the menu isn"t marked for vegan items and our server left us for an unusually long time after appetizers and before taking our order. The service issue wasn't that big of a deal in the end because the food came out so fast and the service was otherwise fantastic.

Very good all veg Indian

Options for all vegetarian or all vegan restaurants are very limited in the Cleveland area but fortunately there's Udupi Dosa. We wanted all vegan dishes and needed the help of our server because the menu doesn't signify what's vegan. He was super helpful and took a lot of time explaining the very extensive menu and made some very good recommendations: The aloo gobi curry dish was our favorite and apparently the only curry dish without dairy. The udupi special spring dosa was filled with potato and onions and was also very tasty. The masala dosa is quite a site--it's a huge pancake that overflows on the plate and is partially filled with a similar potato and onion mix. Our least favorite was the vegetable uthappam which was a mixed veggie pancake that might have been better if we hadn't told them to hold the chilies! They also have a buffet bar but I'm guessing most of it had dairy so we ordered off the menu. Nan without the butter was a great complement to the curry dish. Service was very attentive. Ask for a table under one of the fans because their air conditioning was pretty weak and combined with the spicy food we were uncomfortably warm. Overall we were very happy with the meal.

Worth checking out and try the Palak Paneer!

They serve the best Palak Paneer ever!!! The restaurant is once again serving a 100% vegetarian menu. Dining room was large but dated. Service was good and food came quickly and hot. Server was new and wasn't able to recommend any food options but she was attentive. I recommend the food highly but they need to do a better job of keeping the restrooms clean and gnat free!

Pros: Great Paneer, Attentive service, Good food

Cons: Dated dining room, Server wasn't able to recommend food, Bathroom could have been cleaner

Great dinner

We stopped in while traveling through Ohio in August. I have a weird food allergy from a tick bit (not an illness) that has made me allergic to a carbohydrate found in mammalian fat. Thus, cross contamination is an issue. A big issue. I am disturbed by the previous review with the restaurant offering meat since I eat this way not by choice but in fear of anaphylaxis.

When we dined here I ate like a ravenous animal it being the first (and only) time I ate in a restaurant on our 12 day road trip. I ordered extra for the road. I did not get sick, so maybe they keep a clean kitchen? Luck of the draw?

The food was extremely delicious. My favorite being some sort of deep fried chickpea dumpling. The service was outstanding. Would I eat here again? Yes, if the meat thing is cleared up- as in do they really serve it?

Pros: good value, friendly staff, yum!

Cons: possibly cooking meat in kitchen
