Disappointed

Half of the menu wasn't available.
The waitress didn't understand our command, we had to repeat it to her three times. We also asked her how long It would take them to get ready and she told us to wait because we had to write everything down and afterwards, she didn't answer the question.
While we were ordering, a man started asking us to pay him for a donut. The waitress told him to stop but he came with us to the table and insisted on it for a while, it was very uncomfortable.

The food took long to arrive and I really think that the rice was boiled in the microwave, so I didn't like either the food. I expected it to be much better.

Pros: The views, Good prices

Cons: Rude service , The food

Great spot

Really nice spot, on the cliffs overlooking the sea. There's a lovely bit where you can sit down and watch the entire ocean vista. Overwhelmingly massive menu and good value prices, not everything is available, particularly in the last hour or so of opening. I went three times, each time the food was great: jollof rice and vegetable sauce, pasta with bolognese sauce, pasta with tofu curry, pretty basic fare at the time, but I'm still remembering it now and wanting to eat it again.

The staff are hit and miss. Some are helpful and friendly, some just don't want you to be there. And getting hit on by the cook who insisted I took her back to my hotel and to give her my number wasn't so hot. I guess straight men might enjoy it.

To find it, navigate to "Rising Phoenix Magic Beach Resort" using Google Maps or Uber, and insist your driver follows the computer navigation rather than his misplaced intuition, and you'll get right there. It was once known as Akuma Village, locals may know this if you're lost. Just before you get there you'll pass Assase Pa on the left too, definitely worth a visit too.

Fun spot, extensive menu

Hard to find but our taxi got us there using the location from this app so thank you. Looked very dodgy from the outside, but was friendly and welcoming once in side. Extensive menu with both Ghanaian and International food. We had jollof rice meals which were delicious. The food is cooked fresh to order so takes a while but we felt it was worth it. Lovely chilled vibe and bonus is being serenaded by reggae! Definitely worth a visit.

Pros: Extensive menu , Food cooked fresh to order, Cheap

Cons: Looks a bit dodgy, Hard to find - take a map to show the taxi driver

Good find

I went with a local who knew the place, which was good as it was pretty hidden. It's rastafarian and the menu was quite extensive. The food wasn't amazing, but in a country where vegetarian food is not common, I was ecstatic to eat there!

Pros: Overlooks ocean, Many choices

Cons: Location is hard to get to

Ummmm.....

After being so incredibly excited at seeing so many vegetarian restaurants in Ghana I was a bit tempered by actually trying them.....The Rising Phoenix was just okay. Mixed vegetables with rice was all that was available the day I went. Not bad, good actually. Luke warm sodas were also offered.

There was no inhibition about smoking at all! Lots of people smoking weed, which was SO weird! I didn't really care, but it was almost too much. I'm glad I was forewarned here though or it would've been such a shock!

Except in the hotel where I stayed, it doesn't seem like there's very much emphasis on Customer Service, certainly not at this restaurant as the only gal I could see that was actually working did not acknowledge us at all at first, let alone a welcome. She was busy talking to another patron, but finally took our order and about 40 minutes later, yes, 40 minutes we got our food and left.

Very out of the way, very hard to find, even though I was with a person FROM Accra. At least I got some food.

Pros: veg food

Cons: terrible customer service, hard to find, smoke

delicious and chilled

This place would be pretty hard to find if you'd never been to Accra before, luckily we were with some people that have lived there for a while. It's a rasta bar so despite the signs requesting ppl not to there are plenty of rasta's smoking spliffs which is fine by me. it's right on tyhe cliff edge so you can look out over the ocean. the food is great with western food like veggie burgers and ghanan style vegan versions,as usual in Ghana not everything on the menu will be available everynight. I was boring and had a veg burger but it was great and after 2 weeks of rice was a godsend. Reasonably priced at about 8cedi. You can also go just for drinks whicch again are reassonable price.

Pros: Amazing views, chilled, varied menu

Cons: hard to find
