Loved it!

Especially for the region a huge selection of vegan options! We had the "Vegan Combo" for two people and were both thrilled! The portions were really big and everything was just so delicious - absolute recommendation! Also nice that the restaurant is located a bit quieter and not in the middle of the tourist area.

Pros: So delicious , Good prices

Very meh

We must have gone on a bad night seeing the other reviews. The lentil soup was awful, falafel was fine but the hummus and baba ghanoush were not very good. It took a super long time to get the food and the staff seemed very unsure about what was vegan or not.

Food was delicious

We ordered thru Uber from their vegan options. Food came fast and was warm. We shared the Moussaka entree and the sarma with eggplant lasagna. Also tried the zahtar, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Everything was very satisfying!

Pros: Delicious food , Delivered in reasonable time

Cons: Not a fully vegan joint…

The Best in Niagara Falls

I’m a server in Niagara Falls and every time a vegan comes into my work I recommend they go the The Kasbah instead. A quick trip from Clifton Hill with free parking and great prices. They have tons of vegan options that are clearly marked on the menu including vegan cheesecake. My favourite is the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. The only downfall is the service. They constantly have new workers who aren’t very good.

Pros: Prices

Cons: Service

Tons of options

The Kasbah is more than good. Their menu is clearly marked about what is vegan and what can be made vegan. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their options. The food was amazing, tasty, and really hit the spot. We had the samosas which were some of the best I’ve ever had, zahtar, and falefal hummus wraps. Could not recommend this place enough.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Tasty food , Friendly & Knowledgeable staff

Fantastic find

Good prices, big portions and several vegan options, some are even gluten free, we got the Middle Eastern Moussaka, Red Lentil Soup, Eggplant Casserole and Spinach Pie Platter and were very satisfied with all of them, wished we could have come a second time before leaving Niagara Falls

Pros: Good for large groups , Friendly staff , Nice atmosphere and decor

Second time was delicious

If you are hardcore vegetarian don’t get the cheese items but otherwise- DELICIOUS. Separate cook areas for veg, we were super hungry and feasted. Will be back as I travel to this area often. Owner came by to check on us and say hi.

Pros: Separate cooking areas, Lots of options, Garlic sauce

Cons: Falafel is ok

Great meal with many options!

My family and I (husband and three kids 8 and under) visited this restaurant hoping to find at least a few veg based options. Were we surprised to find so many it was hard to choose! We loved the red lentil soup, middle eastern moussaka and house made veggie burger. In fact, my son thought the burger tasted so meat-like that he refused to take another bite until he was sure it was a veggie burger! The hummus and drama starters were excellent as well. My only disappointment wast that they were all out of the vegan cheesecake!! I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone plant based or otherwise.

Utterly disappointed

First and last visit. Phoned in an order for take-out for falafel, hummus and baba ganoush entree advertised online. When I phoned in the sever had no clue what I was trying to order. I had to explain to the server I found it under vegan/vegetarian options. I placed my order and the server went to the kitchen to find out the wait time of my order. The server came back on the phone to tell me it is a 45 min wait! (For falafel) Since I was already on my way there with limited vegan options around there I agreed to the wait time. The serve phoned me back after 10 min to say it will be much quicker and if I could arrive within 15 min. I explained I was already in the parking lot waiting. The serve phoned me back after 5 min to explain there was no more tabouleh salad and offered a replacement salad. After another 10 min I decided to go in since my order should have been ready. With the long wait times I assumed since it was a long weekend the restaurant must be busy which could be a good sign. The restaurant was empty.
After paying for my order I waited an additional 15 minutes to then find out they still forgot the salad. The service was ridiculous but I decided to give the food a chance. I come home to find black, over cooked falafel, soo dense that they had to poke hotels into them. The plate was a disaster on top of it. I have never eaten black falafel! I eat falafel almost every day and never waiting 45 minutes for them to be made nor have eaten such horrible, dry, no flavour falafels. Oh it wasn't cheap either! $35 for the two entrees!! As a falafel veteran I encourage you to save your money and go else where. Unless I have high standards for falafels. Whenever I come from the city I can't find decent falafel anywhere in the Niagara area! Someone please help!

Cons: Over priced, Over cooked, dry , No flavor, Wait times are a bit ridiculous for end result

Great hidden gem

Loved this place! The falafel was amazing and they even had vegan cheesecake! I couldn’t give it 5 stars because it was a bit far away from the tourist part of town. We walked there from the Sheraton and it took 40 mins. Definitely recommend a cab!

Pros: vegan options , gluten free options

Cons: a bit far

Great vegan food options!

There isn't a lot of vegan options in Niagra but this place came through! The four of us had the samosas, falafel, veggie burgers and the house red lentil soup! Tasted amazing and all made from scratch. The waiter was friendly and happy to make sure our food was vegan. Reasonable prices too. Thanks Kasbah!

Pleasantly surprised

My husband and I were in the area for other reasons, and decided to have a bite. We fund The Kasbah here on this website and decided to go an extra 20 mins out of our way just to find it.

We were very happy with our choice, because the service and food were both great!

It's a bit fancy for my taste, with tablecloths and classic (almost cheesy) mediterranean music but don't let that intimidate you, as the servers were very down-to-earth.

We ordered the vegan dinner combo for 2 at a reasonable $38 and we also ordered extra stuffed vine leaves. This combo included generous servings of hummus and baba ganoush, pickled vegetables, falafel, rice and eggplant casserole (my favourite!). All of the food was amazing.

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the waiter offered us a small portion of their vegan rice pudding as a finish to the wonderful meal (this isn't even on their menu).

We live in Hamilton, but we'll probably be back for more.

Pros: amazing, attentive service, respect for vegan patrons' needs

Niagara trip

We've visited the restaurant on our short trip to the falls. The place was nice and quit and we were statisfied, me as much as my omnivore friends. Vegan options could have been more highlighted.

Satisfied

We went there on a Friday night. In a massive restaurant with outdoor sitting, there were only 5 occupied tables including us. Owner and waiting staff were friendly. I ordered Falafel and Baba Ghanoush meal, it was fresh and good. My children loved the dip. The portion was ok, didn't find it too big as mentioned by some reviews. Ordered kid's meal: pizza and penne alfredo. Both were too big for my 4 and 5 years old. Could have share. The restaurant was said to be the best Greek and Mediterranean food in year 2014 at Niagara Falls. It is around 1km from Marriott at the non-touristic street.

Pros: Food, Service

Cons: *

Great experience

Food was delicious. Vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu; staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about veg issues and was happy to make replacements where needed. A real breath of fresh air in a city with not many vegan options.

Pros: Several good vegan options; positive attitude towa

Cons: Not within walking distance of the Falls

Great food away from the tourist traps

Went there in the middle of the afternoon so it was very quiet. I think we ended up the only ones there for awhile. The Samosas and the lentil soup were excellent. The falafel roll up was humongous and great tasting. Well worth the 1/2 mile walk each way from our hotel.

Pros: Great vegan selections, Great taste although mild flavor, Great service

Pretty good

The Kasbah is a really nice and quiet location away from the tourist attractions. Ok, there are only a few vegan options but thats ok.
We went there around midday, 1 pm. It was almost empty. Therefore we were served quickly :)
My husband and I had the falafel, hummus and rice, served with pita bread. The staff was awesome and very vegan friendly. We were happy we found this little gem!

Pros: very friendly, pretty good

Cons: only a few vegan dishes

Excellent dinner

Nice restaurant away from the tourist attractions. I had a plate of falafel, hummus, babaganous, rice, gluten free pita bread and delicious garlic potatoes. And a salad to start with was included (garden or tabouleh). It was very good and the service was very friendly. (15 Canadian dollars).

So good

I have been here twice, and I ordered the same thing both times - hummus, baba ganoush and falafel. The portion is huge and the food is absolutely delicious! There are many vegan options on the menu and I am excited to try something new next time. The servers are vegan knowledgeable which is practically unheard of in Niagara Falls, and very nice.

The place is too big and there is not much in the way of atmosphere, although both times I went for lunch. Overall I would recommend for sure.

Pros: friendly knowledgeable service, amazing food, patio

Cons: too big
