A huge help for vegan locals

Posted on 09 / 01 / 2014

We go here all the time for hard-to-find ingredients for vegan and healthy cooking. I don't have to order as much stuff online as I used to now that I found this place :) Our most-bought items include the frozen ezekial breads and tortillas, date sugar, tofu, miso, and organic produce. They also have earth balance, veganaise, daiya cheese, tempeh, soy dogs and coconut milk ice cream. Some of these things you simply can't find anywhere else in town. They also have harder to find whole grains and bulk spices and seeds and just a ton of other random organic food. I would definitely recommend coming in and checking it out if you're a local looking for vegan or otherwise unusual ingredients.

The store has a great selection of fair trade organic coffees food spices fresh veggies local fair. Cool and groovy handmade items jewelry, clothes, bags. The music greets me as do the kynd folks that work there. Everybelly there is friendly and helpful. I love the energy in this space. Good vibes, great food and other products that help us tread lightly on this groovy planet and keep our bodies happy and healthy inside and out! Great place! Peace

Granola Hippie General Store :-)

Posted on 08 / 21 / 2010

This store had everything we could ever want! The front of the store sells fair-trade goods and the back of the store is all health food. They had a huge tea selection and a lot of dried fruits at good prices. Tons of vitamins and supplements and they even had sale items! Some produce, frozen foods and refrigerated foods (including soy milk, earth balance etc.) and quite a bit of local foods. We would definitely go back to this store which is right downtown. We left with groceries and a cute throw rug too!

Pros: one-stop-shop, smells good, good music
Cons: not open until 10am
