Serves vegan food with the exception of honey in some items - vegans please inquire. Informal atmosphere. Previously located on High St. APR 2016 REPORTED SHUT.
My husband and I enjoyed the excellent, fresh, tasty food at this restaurant so much, we ate there every day during our 10 day trip to Antigua!
They have a different menu everyday - yum! Have a look at their blog which is updated regularly with the daily specials.
The best time to go there is between 12-1pm, for a truly filling & fantastic lunch. But they are open from 8.30am-5.00pm for smoothies, carrot cake, peas fries, & juice.
We had lunch there everyday (except the weekend as they are closed on sat/sun), and also got take-away from the restaurant for dinner & breakfast - as there are no other really good vegan places in Antigua.
They are conveniently located in Heritage Quay, St. John's walking distance from where all the cruise ships dock, opposite King's Casino on Lower High Street. Very easy for any taxi driver to get you there.
You can even mix & match between all the lunch items on offer, if you don't want to have the daily special. Just point to what you want from the clear display case.
Quality, reliable vegan restaurants are almost impossible to find in the Caribbean, but sWhole Foods is by far the best vegan/veggie restaurant we've come across so far - so Antigua has now become our favourite island because of easy access to great vegan food!
Very clean, organized, efficient service, inexpensive (approx $25 EC for full lunch, drink & dessert per person), and amazing quality food. Also, excellent friendly staff who are very helpful. Overall, we had a great trip to Antigua because of easy access to amazing quality vegan food. Thanks!
