My favorite place to eat out in NYC.

Excellent food. My favorites are: The Makro Bowl, Banana Bread, Ambrosia smoothie and Pizza. I love the atmosphere and the good vibes and music. All the food is labeled.

Pros: Nutritious and healthy food, Fresh ingredients , Friendly staff

Cons: Small space , Serves cows milk, Closes in the afternoon

overpriced without the charm

I'll start on a positive: Sun in Bloom has some of the best gf vegan baked goods in the world. Their muffins and cupcakes are incredible. I almost wished they focused on baking and offered their goods all over town. The TriBeCa location is a disorganized mess. While waiting for my order I saw two other customers receive the wrong items and when it was my turn I was asked my name no less than three times. The sunrise scramble was gross. Frozen collard greens? Unseasoned rice and beans? And all topped with the most bizarre day glow orange dressing I've ever seen. Matcha latte was not worth 6 bucks. It's a bummer, the park slope location has so much more personality and charm, even at the same expensive prices you get friendly service and a relaxed meal. Disappointed in this location.

great take away

I ordered the matcha smoothie and a macro bowl. I drank the smoothie in about two seconds. It was so refreshing on a very hot NYC day. I highly recommend the macro bowl. It was fresh colorful and delicious! The girls working behind the counter were fun and friendly. Go there ! But just make sure it's during the day. The hours are somewhat limited.

Pros: delicious and fresh

Great vegan dishes

The food is not heavy. You have great vegan dishes. Most of them contain ginger that could be a little spicy. There are some very interesting shakes. The ones with the ginger in them are a little spicy so guide yourself accordingly.

Cute Cafe

This cute casual cafe was closing right when we arrived as hours were not current (will submit update for hours). They had a bunch of pre made meals/pre packaged like salads and such with a few spaces to seat. We didn't get to go inside as door was already locked but the host did open up the door and ask if if we wanted anything that was grab and go. Will have to come back here during business hours to check it out.

good staff, spendy, food just ok

I thought the people there were really nice, exuberantly helpful and all that. Glad it is not a chain from that cult or it'd be scary happy. Good to see genuine smiles in nyc.

I think this place was a bit confused though. They say its all vegan, (and you list it here as such) though for a coffee joint that has 2 out of 3 creamers on the counter were dairy.

Also some places its noted as raw but it isn't.

The baked goods were very spendy; they go out of the way to find alternative flours yet use tofutti (a very processed food) in the bulk of the baked goods.

This place is not what I imagined it being based on looking online. It is a small takeout stop, w a few seats at the window.

The cinnamon thing was overdone by far.

[the same creamer issue was an issue other places in hc being listed as veg, aiming for consistency]

Pros: staff, clean

Cons: overdone cinnamon, not vegan
