Good place for Vegans to take non-vegans

4 Posted on 01 / 20 / 2014

I took some friends here last year and some different friends this year. Everybody enjoyed it. None of the friends are Vegans. For me, last year, as this year, I had the Persian meal - Sabzi - a vegetable/herb stew/soup - Wow! And, the desserts are great. I'm going back next year. Of course, I would prefer all vegan, but I want to keep my friends.

stay away-never again-gives raw food a bad name

1 Posted on 02 / 06 / 2013

i came to use a living social deal for raw vegan desserts. the man behind the counter was rude and didnt know about half the items. the 'chef" had an attitude when i questioned the ridiculous prices. she said this is raw vegan!do you know what raw vegan is?? actually, i do. i eat it all the time! their price was $15 for a bag of macaroons. other raw restaurants, even whole foods, charge only $7 or $8! 7.50 for a cookie?? $15 for 3oz of chocolate? 7.50 for an ice cream pop??
there were no prices marked on any items. i honestly think they inflated all the prices to cover the cost of the living social deal.
i did buy the overpriced macaroons-chocolate & coconut. took one taste of each and threw them out! the chocolate had too much coconut and was waaaaay too sweet. the coconut actually tasted stale!
places like this give the raw vegan society a bad name. i will NEVER go back there again..and neither should you!

overweight bitter lady??? you dont know who you are talking about! i am anything but overweight! i am an incredibly fit yoga instructor and vegan over 14 years.you obviously have no sense of business and dont care about trying to earn a customers respect or repeat business. the store smelled, you and the others were rude and arrogant and the food was BAD! i spend a great deal of money on GOOD raw vegan food at reputable establishments. where are the good reviews you claim? they are not here! maybe they exist only in your head. the word is out in the community. STAY AWAY FROM SIMPLY NATURAL! .

Cons: rude, overpriced, bad quality

Good Place to Eat!

4 Posted on 06 / 30 / 2012

This was a nice quiet organic restaurant. The food was great. Everyone with me thouroughly enjoyed their meals. They had a large menu with meats, sandwiches, soups, vegan, and raw foods. They also had very good packaged treats at the cashier desk. The food was healthy and organic and I would definetly go back to try more great food! I highly recommend! The only problem was that the service was very slow and our waiter seemed a little confused at times. He forgot my sisters meal but we let it go. Otherwise it was a great place to eat!

Pros: good healthy food, large menu, organic
Cons: slow service

Visiting Vegans

3 Posted on 10 / 29 / 2011

We were in tonw for the Josh Groabn concert and found this pace via the Internet. It was cute and a decent sized menu. Wish they had an all vegetarian menu, but glad to have them there just the same. The prices were no more or les than at any veggie restaurant. My salad was perfect. It was an Arabic style salad, and so few places can get it right..they did. Would we go there again, you bet ya!

Pros: Decent amount of vegan options, Quaint, Good location
Cons: A bit pricey

Way Overpriced

1 Posted on 07 / 30 / 2010

I was excited to try this place, but must admit I was disappointed. The food was only so-so and expensive given the portions and ingredients. The prices weren't made any more palatable by the atmosphere. Usually when one pays this much for a meal, it is in a more classy setting.

Pros: veg options, organic, convenient location
Cons: expensive, not too tasty, poor atmosphere

Don't waste your money!

1 Posted on 07 / 17 / 2010

Ugh! Unless you have a lot of money to waste, do not go there! The only good thing about my experience there was the soup. I had the lentil soup which was actually really good. Everything else was terrible and overpriced!I had the vegetable panini, my friend had a salad, and another had a steak- which they said was too tough to eat. The panini- looked/tasted like a pita and the veggies were mixed in a tomato paste which was awful. The salad was ok- but it cost about $8-$10 for a small bowl of cucumbers and tomatoes. Way overpriced. Our bill was $85.00 and we were all left feeling yucky and hungry for real food. The service is also slow and inattentive. If you go there- stick with the soup only.

Pros: Great Lentil soup
Cons: Over priced, small portions, slow/inattentive service

All Organic, Good Veg Options BUT STEAK :(

3 Posted on 04 / 05 / 2008

Ate here with a friend while visiting Florida this past week. Was great to hear that a totally organic (certified) restaurant existed in the area. However, upon entering the place it was clear that steak was on the menu from the stench upon entering- they do offer a couple outdoor seating tables.
While Sublime is not so far away (amazing), there are not a lot of other veg-friendly places so it's correct to list this place. They do have a large percentage of veg*n dishes on their menu, including a separate raw foods menu.
We had their lentil burger ($8) which was decent. Also had the avocado salad ($7), which was only fair since it just included half of one avocado. We had one of the raw dishes, ravioli, which was a big disappointment at $11- basically thick slices of cucumber and carrots with nutbutter. Also had vegetable juice ($5) small glass, but good. And for dessert we had the raw pistachio ice cream ($4.50)- very small serving and fair tasting- not creamy.
The total was quite pricey, and amounted to $30/person with tip for an average amount of food, but hey, it is all organic.

Pros: Organic, Veg-Options, Raw Menu
Cons: Dead Flesh, Fair Value, Raw quality
