The Latakia serves a variety of delicious vegetarian Lebanese/Syrian dishes at great prices. Very reasonable house wine too. Omar is a very friendly and helpful host, and also speaks English and French. Everything is freshly made and Omar is clearly passionate about the food he produces, he brought samples of vegetarian dishes from the kitchen for us to try, even though they were not on the menu, for us to give our opinion. To find the restaurant, walk along the sea front heading west from the city centre (with the sea on your left). Shortly after crossing the junction with Calle Montsenyor Palmer you will see some stone steps on your right. If you walk as far as the Hotel Costa Azul you've gone too far. The restaurant is at the top of the steps. There is a good choice of vegetarian starters/ mezze but unfortunately no vegetarian main courses. There is a set vegetarian "taster" menu for you to try a range of dishes.
Good Food, Good value, Friendly host
No vegetarian main course
