Special upscale vibe

Not many vegan options, but what they do have is absolutely delicious! We sat in a nice, private table tucked into a corner. Excellent service.

Pros: Vegan friendly and knowledgeable staff, Vegan crispy broccoli pizza was outstanding, 2 entrees listed ways to veganize

Cons: Pricey, Noisy

Great find!

There are some vegan options, which are creative and delicious. There are many more of vegetarian options, which are the same. The food is thoughtfully prepared and it's obvious the chefs take pride in what they do. It was hard to get a same-day reservation on a Friday, but we were told to come around 5:00 pm and we're able to sit at one of the high tops by the bar.

The BEST veggie burger

One of the best veggie burgers I have ever had. And they have incredible fries as well.

Glad we checked it out

There definitely are vegan options at this cafe, however, they’re aren’t a large amount. We definitely enjoyed the ones they had! The wait staff was very knowledgeable about vegan options, and were even honest about cross contamination, which made me feel really safe. All but one of the antipastas are totally vegan, and the burger, chick pea ragu, and zucchini panini can all be made vegan. They had almond and soy milk for coffee, and also even had a vegan one, and one dessert option! It probably isn’t a spot a would go often, but it was definitely a nice visit.

Pros: Farm-to-table is awesome, Lots of vegan antipastas

Cons: A bit pricey, Small (ish) portions

One of my Favorites

I love this restaurant. Always friendly, happy service. Food is delicious and fresh. My favorite are the lentil cakes and olives, the bean pate and the salt wrinkle potatoes and the arancini. Their salads and dressings are fantastic. I have never had a bad meal at this wonderful restaurant. Wish I could give it five stars!

delish falafels!

super cute atmosphere, modern and casual yet “nice”. kinda pricey but u can grab some hummus and 2 other sides for $10! their falafels are fried so prob cross contaminated? not sure tho since I feel fine, I also got chickpea ragu and SO delish. there’s also a clearly labeled vegan desert but i was sooo full. my server asked if I had an allergy and was very attentive. overall great experience and just ask if unsure!

Pros: vegan options , most are plant based, vegan CAKE

Cons: serves meat, pricey for a college student

Great Restaurant

Republic is one of my go-to restaurants in Manchester. They have lots of options for vegans, meat-eaters, and GF folks. I have always found their staff to be knowledgeable and accommodating. My favorite thing about Republic is that it is nice enough for a date night, but also laid back enough for lunch with friends or a drink after work. Also worth checking out is their sister restaurant, Campo Enoteca.

Pros: Flexibility, Yummy drinks

Cons: Parking can be tricky

delicious!

We stopped into the Republic cafe HUNGRY after a day of skiiing and highly recommend this restaurant! As we all know, dining out can be difficult for vegans with limited options on the menu, and the vegan options are often “meh.” Not here! There are many vegan items in the menu, and it was so wonderful to have choices! Our server was incredibly helpful at pointing out the vegan dishes, and which ones could be veganized. The chickpea ragu and lentil stew are vegan, as are several of the apps. We started with the pickled vegetables, salad, and falafel which were wonderful, and and it was evident that there wasn’t cross contamination with the fried falafel (my tummy can tell immediately!). As a main course, I had the vegan special, which was a chickpea pancake filled with parsnip purée. It was out of this world! We learned that one of the owners is veg, and these folks clearly get it, and are skilled at creating interesting, flavorful vegan dishes.

Check out the specials!

One of my favorite restaurants in all of New Hampshire! Do not overlook the small plates that you can mix and match. My favorite trio is the Moroccan beet and quinoa salad, pickled carrots and hummus served with bottomless pita bread. This is enough and satisfying for an entire meal. Make sure you try out one of their craft cocktails as well. Great bartender, fresh ingredients, and an amazing vibe.

Pros: Farm to Table, Lots of Options, Creative dishes

Cons: Lots of cheese on the menu

Great vegetarian options

I went here with my omni family members and was worried because I'm a new vegan and everything had cheese on the entree menu. Usually I worry about bothering people by asking to modify things because at some places people seem put out, but the waitress was super helpful! She said that the bread that they serve at the table is vegan (and offered to bring hummus or something else to dip it in instead of the oil. I'm not sure if the olive oil had cheese in it or if she is just used to plant-based oil free vegans?) as are the chickpea ragu and the cold vegetable appetizers. The Moroccan lentil stew with stuffed eggplant is also vegan if you ask to leave off the tzaziki, and that is what I got and it was DELICIOUS! I normally dislike the texture of eggplant and find it slimy, but in this dish it was excellent. An omni person I was dining with also got a vegetarian dinner special, which was a stuffed acorn squash and kale salad that could have been easily veganized as well and he raved about it. Although we didn't have room, there was a vegan chocolate banana cake on the menu. I would definitely go back if looking for a place to accommodate both Omni and veg*n diners!
