We eat here every week, sometimes multiple times a week. The food is very inexpensive and the portions are quite large. They have many items on the vegan menu, though most people at the register don't know what is and isn't vegan. I've had the good luck to meet Dhruthi, who works in the kitchen, at the register one day and she explained all of the vegan items: all of the chat are vegan just ask for no raita (yogurt). Most of the dosas are vegan, but the ones with cheese obviously are not. The Desi Chinese vegetable fried rice is vegan and SO delicious (I ask for no extra chili oil other than what they use to marinate it in), and if you want an Indian-style rice, the biryani is vegan. The Desi vegetable fried rice has a ton of veggies in it, though, which is awesome. Many items on the thali/combo are vegan, too, like the chana masala, the undhiya, the bhindi masala (okra), punjabi daal, and gobi mutter (which is phenomenal). Of course the veggie frankies is also vegan but not the best menu item imo. If you aren't sure what's vegan and it's your first time there, I would highly recommend the masala dosa. The coconut chutney that comes with it is vegan, as well as the two tomato chutneys, but the coconut one is really good. Oh yes, and the sambhar (like a spicy stew) that comes with the dosa is also vegan, too.

Flavorful Meal

We have stopped by here twice for good Indian food. You order at the counter and pick up the items after they're prepared for you. The cashier is patient and and describes the items to help you choose. Although ghee used and in some dishes dairy. Our dishes were tasty flavorful and fresh.

Pros: Tasty and flavorful , Wide menu, Fast

Cons: Not vegan

Fast Flavorful Food

It is beyond unfortunate that this spot does not have a vegan or vegan marked menu. The extensive offerings are so enticing but each question of "Is this vegan?" requires multiple trips to the kitchen to find out--a fate I hate to cast on the staff. So I stick to the one item I know for sure is vegan: The Veggie Frankie. It's a little different every visit. Sometimes it extra spicy, sometimes it's loaded with black salt, but all times its hot and satisfying.

Cons: no vegan menu

Nice Variety

They have quite a variety of food, from Desi-Chinese (including the noodle dosa, which I had) to parathas to Gujurati snacks to traditional dosas. The food was pretty good with moderate (but not large) portion sizes. Right next door is an Indian grocery store, Miramar Cash and Carry (they're connected). The only minuses...quite a few dairy/cheese items, and the sambar wasn't quite spicy enough (but still tasted good). I do think Surati Farsan Mart (similar food) is a little bit better.

Pros: variety

Cons: sambar could be spicier
