vegan option was... kinda bad

2 Posted on 06 / 23 / 2014

The only vegan option i could spot on the menu was a tofu and vegetable pizza. The tofu was like a paste, trying to imitate cheese, and there were like 4 vegetables on top, miles from each other. The tofu had weird consistency and taste...
Clearly there wasn't much thought or dedication put into the pizza... it's still good they provide an option though!

Pros: studentski boni, price, vegan option available
Cons: taste, quality

Has potential

I'll give them credit for putting a vegan tofu pizza choice on the menu. Sadly, the pizza was quite disappointing. At the time of the visit the place was packed with people and the pizza looked like no care was taken into preparing it. The tofu sauce and the vegetable toppings were scarce and the taste could have been improved. They actually have great non-vegan pizzas, so I think they could put in some more energy in making this one vegan option a bit better.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of taste

Meh

Ate here for dinner- pizzas are HUGE, very thin base. Base/crust was yummy, though the middle got a little soggy as someone else said.
We ordered vegetarian pizzas without cheese & sour cream but didn't get offered a vegan sauce as someone else had... one pizza was quite odd, being divided into little sections- one slice just with corn and sauce, one section with capsicum/peppers, one section with a piece of eggplant... The other was just tomato sauce with a few mushrooms and a couple of slices of eggplant but very bare otherwise. Always feel a bit disappointed when ordering a vegan pizza when they basically give you bread with sauce.
There's probably better places to go. They were very busy and the waiters not particularly friendly.

Pros: Tasty crust
Cons: Bit bare on the toppings/weirdly topped, Bit soggy in the middle

Disappointing

After reading the review on Happycow, I was excited to try the vegan pizza when I visited Ljubljana during a holiday.
The vegan pizza is topped with a tofu 'cheese', white asparagus, artichokes and some other veggies.
When the pizza arrived it looked great, however, it was very bland, soggy and left a funny aftertaste.
The others I went with tried vegetarian pizzas which were seemingly fine, if not a little soggy also.
Overall, it's great that there's something available for vegans in Ljubljana but I'm sure there's better options out there.

This is one of the most famous, traditional & best pizzerias in Ljubljana. You can choose among many veggie options, and there is one completely vegan with tofu. Sure there can be more but you have to tell them to make them without cheese:D The vegan one is really nice.

Pros: 1 vegan pizza, good quality, location
