Great Food Truck!

It's a tiny place facing McPherson Square by CVS. Very friendly cook. I had the bean burrito for $6. Great deal for a yummy full meal! He is there in the winter but only serves drinks when they won't freeze. Pay by putting money in a box. We sat on a bench in the square and ate our meal there.

Pros: great value, yummy

Cons: no drinks sold in the winter

One person wonder

This cart is super amazing! The feel is like a one person show where you are greeted and welcomed like a regular all the time, whether you are one or not! It is cash only, but the prices are a steal by DC standards! All who go here are in the know, as it seems like just a cart, and it is not near any other food cart.

The line is long, so go early or late in business hours.

When you say vegan, it is well received! They will use different gloves and keep it all separate. The beans are vegan- both the black beans and pinto mash. The rice is vegan. The rice is vegan. The tortillas are vegan. Then of course the salsas and hot sauces are vegan.

Have fun ordering whatever you want. It'll be made fresh and tasty, and no frills about it. There isn't too much oil or extra fake flavors, and it's not too salty.

If I worked close by, I would be tempted to go all the time! They used to be all veg, but not anymore. At least they are super veg supportive!

Pros: Cheap, Huge portions, Freshly made vegan friendly

Cons: Lines, Cash only, More veggies please

Cheap, fast, and delicious!

I recently started working near this food cart and I'm so glad other reviews pointed me to it! Ordering is easy, there are a good amount of options for your burrito, including spicyness level. The guy is really nice and clearly takes pride in making great burritos.

Pros: Tasty, Great value, Friendly vendor

Cons: Line is long sometimes, Exposed to the elements, Can be a little hectic

Good Food Cart Option

The food cart is pretty popular but worth a brief wait in line. There isn't a ton of choice but what they do offer is very filling, tasty and at a good price.

They expect you to be pretty quick in giving your order so take the time to study the menu and know what you want.

Payment is cash only and the customer handles the money by placing it in a little box - taking their change as necessary.

Among food carts in DC, it's my favoruite.

Pros: Price, Convenience/location

Great food and really friendly

I had the pleasure of finally checking that place out after hearing about it for a while. It looks like one of those "hot dog carts" but it is so much better (obviously they don't serve meat). The guy making the burrito was ultra-friendly and walks you through the whole process and at the end asks what hot sauce you want and if you want fruity or not and I just let him choose. A black and tan with guacamole, salsa and three hot sauces (one of them was their signature one in the grey goose bottle) and while the burrito was very sloppy and wet it was so so so so good. Plus it wasn't just vegetarians and vegans getting burritos even the regular scourge of lobbyists and K. St wonks eat there hopefully getting a minor education in not eating meat and potentially dairy.

If you want a good burrito from a place that at the very least doesn't serve meat (though sadly they do sell dairy products but are clear about vegan stuff) and the beans are all vegan and the hot sauces are fairly numerous and delicious than Pedro and Vinny's have you covered, well covered. Plus at like 6 bucks it was pretty cheap and filling.

The guy running the show clearly either really loves his job or is one of the greatest actors in history.

Pros: good food, friendly service , cheap prices

Cons: serves some dairy, a bit messy (then again I had 3 sauces)

A DC favorite!

I love coming here, and there is a park nearby where you can sit and eat your burrito. The hot sauces are delicious and make the burrito tasty and memorable (especially the mild #1). A large burrito is $7. Just be prepared to say what type of tortilla you want (wheat, spinach, etc.) and whether or not you want cheese. It is a popular location, so the wait is usually ~15 minutes, but well worth it!

Pros: Delicious, Affordable

Cons: Sometimes a 15 minute wait.

This place is a MUST!

This is a small food cart that is all vegetarian. Do not underestimate it! We went here twice and the food and service were great each time. The owner obviously loves his job and his customers, it is apparent he doesn't do this jus for the money. There are three burrito sizes and you can get vegetarian or vegan. He was very careful to keep mine vegan! You get to pick a hot sauce level from one to ten (they run on the spicy side) and whether you want fruity or hot. He talks about your burrito the whole time, its a bunch of fun!

Pros: Customer Service, All Vegetarian, Fast and Fun

Cons: None!
