Berry runs Otra Cosa with his wife Milagros. They are the kindest people, wanting to accommodate their guests in any way possible. They still offer pretty much what others reviewers are mentioning here like burritos, falafel but I also saw a couple of nice-sounding salads on the menu like a Greek salad and one with carrot and beets. My personal favorites at Otra Cosa: pancakes and apple pie.
Lovely owner eho was very friendly&spoke english. Food was abit dissapointing though. I ordered a burrito &it had baked beans in tomatoe sauce. Burrito is ment to be mexican with black beans. Its usually spicy too but this was tasteless&the veg was also wrong. This was typical perivan food with european names. I also ordered falafel another day &that was abit boring too but i had menu of the day another time & it was good with quinoa&veg &punkin soup&juice. I had massage here too &it was only ok. Overall this place was the only option i found in huanchaco for vegan so it was ok. I didnt have the courage to tell the owner he needs new chef, i just said food was ok anytime he asked. It was ok when you dont have other options.Pros: english spoken, easy to find
Cons: not a good chef
If you're a vegan I recommend asking about each ingredient that goes in each dish. I ordered a burrito so asked only about cheese and any kind of cream and she said no, but it came with mayo. It's hard to make oneself understood of what vegan means in Peru.
Cozy little place serving up healthy and tasty meals. We were very happy to find this place after being served up bland meals of rice, potatoes and salad at other parts of Peru. Highly recommend. Also have excellent massages.Pros: location, free wifi, tasty food
This is a great place to hang out and meet people. The owners are very nice. The food is good and inexpensive.Pros: inexpensive, friendly
Cons: not a lot of vegan options
Had lunch and dinner here. Food was tasty and plentiful. Staff were very nice and even helped me book a bus ticket at cost.
This place is nice with a good atmosphere and right on the beach! They food is good, but a little strange. They have falafel served on a hamburger bun with a cream sauce (made from milk so order it without!) and no hummus. They also have interesting and good vegan burritos. The daily set meal could not be made vegan the day we were there, and they did speak English. It's a little expensive, but the food was good!Pros: Good Food!, Falafel!
Cons: Not 100% Vegan, Expensive, Menu not vegan
