Quaint little veggie cafe in the back alleys of Shi Da. Reachable from Lane 105 Shi Da Road. It's tucked away in a little house with a yard and two little out buildings that can be rented out for private dinners. Quiet. At any given time there poodles hanging out in the restaurant, but they're friendly and the place is very clean. Food is mostly Chinese with some more international dishes, but not the typical buffet fare. Menu is in Chinese only. Set meals are mostly non-vegan. Moved from Lane 60 Tai Shun St in 2011. DEC 2012 website not working. Price: Moderate more-less
Vegan-friendly, Lacto, Ovo, Chinese, Taiwanese, Buffet

A Great place to Relax & Dine! ( & PLAY!!!)

The dogs are super cute and they are so clean & well-behaved (they are very gentle and well mannered, they don't get in the way.) We took many pictures with the dogs while waiting for the food to come. It was so fun!

The owner is from Nepal, and there are a number of interesting Buddhist antiques inside. There's also a beautiful chair in the back that the Dalai Lama sat on when he visited Taiwan.

My favorite is the Hawaiian fried rice. My husband's favorite is the Chef's special -- it's called "GeDa" in Chinese. A must-try!

Pros: great company, setting: gorgeous old house, nice location (in Shida Night Market)
Cons: a bit pricey

You'll love this restaurant if you are both vegetarian and poodle lover :)
The poodles hang around the restaurant and you can grab and hug them. If you have difficulty to catch them, just ask the waitress for a favour.
