I got there informed that was some new kind of vegan restaurant, and since I was asked to show vegan places in porto which are rare, I went to find it.
By it's Blogspot site, I was induced in a bit of error since, they did had really nothing to eat as a meal, no pizzas, the person that was organizing the place at the time didn't know what we could eat since he sayed "we have nothing prepared I don't really know what you can ear, wait a minute". This was on a Friday night.

We ate some "vegan sushi", actually was vegan maki rolls (not sushi), and payed 1 euro for each roll, and we had to ask for soy sauce, no wasabi, no nothing.

Also, some kind of salted fritter / tortilla was served to us, with a glass of sangria with a lot of fruit in it, and that was nicer.

What was not nice at all was the price, for a little snack and a little drink, we payed more than in a gourmet restaurant for 2 persons.

I was shocked, and I will not return for sure.

Pros: The view
Cons: Price, Sloppyness

    Hi Anticopy,

    Thank you for you comment.

First of all we would like to remind you that O Terraço Vegan Spot is not a restaurant but a vegan bar belonging to a cultural association. As a result we do not have a fixed menu and we do snacks and food regarding the ingredients we have and the affluence of people visiting us.

We do have meals when reservations are made in advance or when we have special events (concerts, benefit-dinners, private parties, etc...) This information is written on Happy Cow but we do want to thank you as it was not mentioned on our blog and we have already added it.

Also the maki rolls we serve are completely vegan. In addition we do think that 1 eur is a fair price as that this kind of food needs some work and the prices of ingredients are not so cheap. As maki rolls lovers, we do know that they always have to be served with soy sauce. Perhaps we do not have always wasabi. Maybe what happened is that you considered the quantity of soy sauce was not enough and in this case, you could have asked for more.

Concerning the price, we always try to do fair prices according to the reality of Portugal. Also all of our products are home-made from pizza to tartes and maki rolls to drinks such as sangria and natural juices and cocktails. We do not identify ourselves with any kind of gourmet restaurant as we are willing to have the more eclectic public as it may be possible.

Once again we would like to thank you for your opinion.
