I recently discovered Ngoc Lien after randomly meeting the owners daughter. This place is a little hard to find but well worth the adventure to get there. The meals are the upper mid range with an entree around 45,000vnd and mains roughly the same. I had a curry and two of their specialty drinks and it set me back 94,000vnd.
The owner puts every ounce of love into her meals. They are presented so beautifully with carved vegetables. One day I had a fish carved from pumpkin on my plate.
I have eaten here many times in the past 2 months and have not been disappointed every with the quality of the food.
The staff don't speak English and the owner speaks a little, but the menu is in Vietnamese and English and has pictures of some of the meals.
The meals take a little while but it is because they are freshly preparing and putting love into each one which is well worth the wait.
The easiest way to describe getting there is turn off Phan Xich Long at the Petrolimex, pass CoOp Mart which will be on your right. Take the second street to the right after co-op mart then take the first left, it is on a bend opposite the back entrance to a Chinese pagoda.
