The hippie sandwich is vegan, and the veggie heaven sandwich can be made vegan by omitting cheese. Uses local organic bread. Search via happycow said Nature's Market was vegan friendly but aside from smoothies its really not; sandwiches that claim to be vegan if cheese is omitted are actually not vegan as the employee told me none of their breads are vegan but some don't mind....the printed menu even claims they are for those of us strict vegans, this place is not a good choice and is very misleading...left and went to Field of Greens instead.

Cons: Claims to be vegan friendly but is not, Misleading

Houston needs more stores like these

I stumbled upon this modern bodega in my neighborhood and has fallen in love with this place ever since. Just love their fresh vegetable and fruit juices, they are very well crafted tasty and offcourse healthy. I always get one after a run in the Hermann park and it just rejuvenates me in minutes. I even went on a detox/juice diet for 10 days solely drinking their house juices and wheatgrass/ ginger shots and felt amazing after that. Best thing is this store offers 10% discounts on juices and sandwiches for Joggers and cyclist just show your helmet and you get a discount that is soo cool. I like shopping here for a vegan like me there are a lot of vegan options like coconut bliss icecreams, Tofurky, Hemp milk and many more. Their Hippie and veggie heaven sandwiches are also yummy. And did I mention they have free wine tasting every thursday. Houston badly needs more store like these.

Pros: Fresh fruit and vegetable juices, lots of vegan grocery iterms, Local organic
Cons: Customers need to know about free valet
