fresh, simple and delicious

I went here a few months ago. It was amazing. Simple I bento boxes for lunch are surprisingly filling. Fresh and seasonal food. Recommend it if you are in the area!

Disappointing - low service level

The owner of this cafe was standing and chatting loud with some customers in this small space. So annoying. Plus, I went there 13:15 but they already ran out of brown rice. The quality of foods is mediocre - not too bad but not competitive in this area.

Pros: low price, convenient location

Cons: bad service

healthy and convenient

The food was ok, they ran out of gyozas... :(

Be careful, they also have cow's milk for the coffees, but they also offer soy milk.

We didn't get to try the desserts, they seemed too small for ¥750.

Pros: Whole rice, free wifi, nice terrace

Cons: Small portions, cow's milk

Come for the drinks not the mains

For our day exploring Harajuku we decided to try the Harajuku Gyoza place. After seeing the size of the queue we changed our minds and headed for Motto, but they were closed. So we came to Re:nature as our third choice, and that seems appropriate.

The cafe space is comfy and the drinks were excellent - we had the cacao smoothie which was lusciously thick, and the shochu with ginger.

The food was less exciting though: a forgettable curry with rice, soup & salad, and a big seaweed and tofu salad. The tofu in the salad tasted very fresh and creamy, but everything else lacked a bit of flavour.

Certainly not dreadful by any means, but a little dull given some of the other treats Tokyo has to offer.

Pros: Great drinks

Cons: Not many options and little forgettable

curry lunch

great little spot upstairs from the busy Harajuku street area. super easy to miss; read the directions well. i lucked out and managed to find the sign. aircon inside but i sat on the patio and the lady turned on the giant fan for me. not a bad spot to read and/or watch life below. the keema (?) curry was tasty, if plain, and served with hearty brown rice, and a tiny soup and salad. healthy, quick, convenient.

Great food, conveniently located

This place was certainly delicious, although kind of pricey. Most places (mostly shops) in Harajuku close after 8 pm, so it was great to find this vegan restaurant open past 9 pm.
English Menu is available and the staff is really friendly and helpful. We had the sausage, fried soy meat, and two brown rice balls. My wife had a glass of wine and I had a highball (whiskey). We paid around 4,000 yen, which is kind of the standard for a dinner meal in Tokyo (in a cool place like this). The atmosphere was nice, too. We actually loved the place.
It is a slow-food place, so if you are in a rush, you may want to find some place else. We felt all the food was made with love.

Pros: Delicious food, Opens late in the evenings, Nice terrace.

Cons: Pricey, Slow food, Credit cards only above 3k Yen.

slow and bland

It's not worth your time or money to come to this place. It took more than an hour to get food and everything was bland, plus it took them 45 minutes to tell me that they were sold out of the soup.

Simple

I got a rice plate and a green smoothie. The meal was super simple. Steamed rice, root veges, cabbage, soup and a small salad. I like simple/pure vegan food, so this was my jam. It's a sort of thing I'd cook at home - low fat/high carb. They also do raw dessert.

The location is very convenient if you are checking out harajuku. It is easy to find, just follow the directions in the description box on here.
