This is not a health grocery store

This review is just for the health store and not for the cafe/ restaurant. I went there hoping to find some organic groceries but realised that, they sell mostly pills and a few natural products, nothing fresh. So dont go there is you want to buy fresh vegetable or fruits.

Pros: *
Cons: nothing fresh

Natural Oasis

This place is delicious. Compares to any great Ethiopian, Vegetarian or Vegan restaurant you'd find in SF Bay Area or other big city. Variety of options including Ethiopian dishes served with injera and more. Dishes are all priced at $4 and two per person is enough to fill you up. They also allow you to bring your own alcohol and have no corking fee. New favorite place.

Pros: 100% vegan, Friendly atmosphere, Inexpensive
Cons: Kind of salty

I have never been to their buffet, but their dinners are AMAZING! I don't know if I would call their Ethiopian selections "authentic," but all the meals I've ever had here were great! They use fresh ingredients, have friendly service, are quick, and also cheap. What more could you ask for? =D

Pros: Delicious!, Friendly and Quick Service, Always Updating Menu for Freshest Food

I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is excellent, is brought out quickly, and the cook is so willing to answer any questions we have about the food. I think it would be a good date spot with your sweetheart. Will go there again and again!

Pros: excellent food, good value

Rochester has a vegan restaurant!

Natural Oasis is no longer a natural foods store with lunch buffet. It is now a restaurant serving lunch and dinner and everything is vegan (though it does sell vitamins in the front). Their menu changes daily and features local produce, and they have probably a dozen entrees, a few drink choices, and one or two dessert choices per day. Each entree is $4, and the portions are reasonable. The food is unique and often highlights various cultural delicacies including Ethiopian. My favorites have been their risottos which feature cashew cheese, their spaghetti squash with fresh tomatoes, and a chocolate mousse. They serve this spongey yet tasty Ethiopian bread with your entrees. The setting is just lovely and they make everything when you order it. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Pros: Daily rotating menu, Local ingredients, Unique dishes
Cons: Limited parking

What an incredible meal! I had eaten at the cafe for lunch and it was wonderful but last night a friend and I ate dinner there and it was sublime. I have traveled all over the world and have had a chance to eat at many well know restaurants, last nights dinner was worthy of 5 stars. The dinner menu is creative, diverse and 100% vegan. If you have the chance to visit I highly recommend this cozy cafe, you will not be disapointed.

Pros: creative, excellent food, very friendly staff

Natural Oasis good buffet

Natural Oasis is a natural grocery store and also offers a buffet. You can get many types of vegan/organic fairtrade groceries. I ate there over a year ago and had the Ethiopian buffet. It was very good with a diverse range of foods, mostly vegan. Say hello to Solomon the owner, a friendly and helpful person.

A true oasis!

We visited the cafe at Natural Oasis while visiting Rochester and were quite pleased with the Ethiopian buffet offered there daily; not only was the food tasty but the serving dishes were immediately replenished insuring that the food was always hot, fresh and available. The price was a mere $8 and the staff friendly and helpful. The cafe was clean and cosy and there was ample parking. A definite winner!

Pros: Tasty Ethiopian fare, Friendly helpful staff, pleasant ambiance
Cons: none
