Great food in a gorgeous atmosphere - Edit
English below.
#4AJEats
Mooring Deck is a bit off the beaten path— it’s an 8-minute walk from Kobuchi station, and along the way you’ll probably find yourself thinking, “Am I really going the right way??” Fear not, for there is delicious, home-cooked food in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere waiting for you at your destination.
Upon taking your seat, you’re handed a menu, and what a menu it is! It’s an actual book, completely hand-drawn and charming, with vegan items clearly marked.
We ordered the lunch plate, and tried to order the gateau chocolat cake. It was sold out, but the lady offered to make us chocolate muffins instead! So we got those.
I admit, I wasn’t expecting much from the lunch plate. But this was incredibly tasty, with generous portions. Miso soup, pickles, salad, rice, and the main dish, vegan karaage (fried chicken). The karaage tasted just like the karaage my mother-in-law makes, that I used to love back when I ate animals. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. 襤 It was so nice to be able to eat it again, in an animal-friendly version.
The muffins were served fresh out the oven, moist and delicious. We bought some to take home.
Afterwards, we chatted a bit with the powerhouse who runs this place all by herself, Tamura-san. As mentioned above, it’s a bit out of the way, and seating is limited so when it’s busy you may be asked to share a table with other customers. But if you’re in the area, we highly recommend paying Tamura-san a visit and getting her to whip up some of that karaage.
Pros: Fantastic food , Beautiful setting, Hand-drawn menus!
Cons: Kind of in the middle of nowhere, May have to share a table with strangers

Amazing and charming little vegan friendly stop in the Tokyo suburbs - Edit
My wife and I had a lovely time at this restaurant. The owner will point out meticulously if something is not vegan and why.

Mooring Deck - Edit
The place is tucked away 10 minutes from Kobuchi station. The owner is really lovely. She's vegan herself and prepares the meals and everything. The place is comfortable and the menu is both in English and Japanese with cute drawings. The food is good and it's affordable.
