Vegans don't have to sacrifice - Edit
By far the most complete and satisfying vegan meal I've ever eaten
Read moreCoriander & Arborio Crusted Oyster Mushrooms. Perfectly fried, wonderfully seasoned, good chew
Turnip & Scallion Mug Bean Crepe. Extremely interesting & diverse collection of flavors. It got better as I ate. When I was finish I was still thinking about it. wonderful.
Tiramasu. Hadn't had a Tiramasu in a long time. Sweet, but not overly. Spongy, moist with the right compliment of mascarpone mousse.
No, I dont have any affiliation with the restaurant. It was just that good!

Great vegan/vegetarian food, service and ambiance - Edit
This is one of the best restaurants in the world. Very good vegan & vegetarian food with a revolving menu and a price fixed menu as well. Great mocktails & deserts. Great service. Parking on the street. We have been coming here for years We've had lunch & dinner, & have had their price fixed menus & a la carte. My wife and & honestly have liked everything they have ever served.

Celebration meal 🍾 - Edit
Haven't visited in over year- it's better than I remember! Delicious sad boy summer cocktail was a standout. Fried mushrooms & their sauce are delicious🥰 The cauliflower steak was thee best I ever ate & the polenta below it was divine. Tempeh BBQ had a lovely sauce & wonderful mashed potatoes. Friendly service & not rushed. 🌟

Exquisite vegan fine dining! - Edit
First of all the service is so delightful. The ambiance was just gorgeous! Now let’s get into the food.
Read moreEvery flavor paired so well with one another. From citrus to spicy to sweet all in one bite. We started out with the corn ribblets and my goodness the cheesy tasting topping was delicious and the butter flavoring was impeccable. We were scraping the bottom of the plate. We had a delicious rosé paring from Santa Cruz.
The main course we shared the Aloo Tiki and wow it was great! The potato was crisp on the outside and the perfect amount of soft on the inside. And the broccoli it came with was cooked to perfection. There was a balsamic tasting glaze on it that was tasty! Now for the dessert…. The pear tart was an enlightening. Especially with the chocolatey coco crumble and the ice cream which was so creamy!
Pros: Location, Staff, Food
Cons: Very Expensive

Innovative, Delicious, Destination Vegan - Edit
It's no secret - this is the best place to go for a vegan meal. A date, a special occasion, a prix fixe special - and also, the Monday night Above Ground Pizza pop-up. Chef Eric & co-owner Alison have the best, freshest, locally sourced ingredients and the seasonal menu is amazing. The desserts are indisputably the best vegan desserts anywhere. They have an excellent outdoor dining area - covered in the winter and watertight. Friendly staff - excellent mixed drinks that evolve with the seasons.

the best most innovative vegan cuisine on the planet! - Edit
I first went to Millennium when it was based in San Francisco back in 2002. It was memorable, expensive, & worthwhile. Eric Tucker is the long time head chef of Millennium bringing a knowledge of over 20 years of making probably the best most innovative vegan cuisine on the planet.
Read moreMe & a friend recently visited the Rockridge location new home of Millennium. The restaurant has a great vibe as it was well decorated, spacious, & has a outdoor porch seating area. We both enjoyed our experience & the food was amazing!
My friend had a crisp cauliflower sandwich & kale salad. I had a bean stew w/ veggie sides including mushrooms. Everything bursted with flavor & texture as if masterfully prepared which it was.
The menu is highly seasonal & always changing. The online menu will only give one a "feel" of what to expect as probably isn't accurate to what the menu really is.
My best advice is go if you haven't been for the experience. It is essential to go if you are a vegan & the cuisine here could easily convert an omnivore to become vegan.
The menu is a bit hard to grasp yet the servers do an excellent job with recommendations & do a great job making the menu tangible. It is expensive as dinners run about $30 per person yet the weekend brunch is much more affordable especially if you bring a friend to split dishes.
They even have a happy hour that I will look to check out. Reservations are essential so book ahead. Expect a memorable, expensive, & worthwhile experience!

Divine and decadent! - Edit
I love this place and have been enjoying it for many years going back to the original location in SF. It's definitely my go to spot for special occasions, holidays, birthdays, date nights, and well any time. The menu is seasonal and Chef Eric and his team consistently create some of the finest dishes in all of California and quite possibly worldwide. Alison and her team are amazing and always make me feel special. This place has a permanent very special place in my heart and I always look forward to dining here. The ambiance is beautiful as well. I cannot say enough about Millennium it's hands down the absolute best restaurant in all of Northern California. Go there and see for yourself!

Keeps on Keeping On! - Edit
We've been eating at Millennium for over a decade. Never had a bad meal. This place sets the standard of what healthy, innovative vegan food can taste like. As always, my favorites were the appetizers, salads, and dessert. Little gem Cesar is heavenly, and the crispy mushrooms never fail to send us over-the-moon. Homemade ice cream begs the question, "how do they do this?" Great meal. Again.

Top notch! - Edit
Had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server was helpful with recommendations, which was great when literally EVERYTHING on the menu sounded amazing. We got the fried oyster mushroom appetizer, the burger, the jerk tempeh, and crème brûlée. The oyster mushrooms were good, reminded me of fried calamari! And I have to admit I felt light weight silly ordering the burger at such a nice restaurant, but the description sounded too good for me to resist and it did not disappoint! The jerk tempeh was also legit…cooked and seasoned to perfection! Then there was dessert and that crème brûlée was legit! Such a delicious meal! Also, in case anyone else was wondering, no dress code but everyone was pretty much dressed smart casual. Highly recommend this spot!

The service is always amazing. One of our entrees came out late so they gave us a free appetizer. I've eaten here several times because it is my nonvegan mother's favorite vegan spot. This is a perfect spot for special occasions, but sometimes favors style and novelty over substance

Classic bay area vegan - Edit
Millennium is still setting the scene after all these years. I recently visited, my first time since before the pandemic, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
Read moreAt the time, they were only doing four course meals. There was so much to like about it, but my favourite parts were probably the fried green tomatoes and Millennium burger. The breading and accompanying sauce on the tomatoes were perfect. As for the burger, it came on a pretzel bun, with fingerling potatoes and pickled cauliflower on the side; how can you go wrong with that?
And of course, the service was very good the entire way through. We were seated promptly (next to the front window), our server was very attentive, and all food was brought out in due time.
Pros: Quality food, Great service

Exquisite meal - Edit
Chef Eric created an oil-free meal upon request and the food was amazing. Ate on the beautiful patio and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Started with nectarine gazpacho and then moved on to a purslane salad. Then enjoyed a polenta dish with porcini and red wine sauce, tempeh to die for, and a pasta with pesto. Topped it off with stone fruit sorbet and fresh nectarines. Rolled myself out and can’t wait to go back!

Great option for take out! - Edit
If you want to spend a little less, while still supporting Millennium, and not deal with booking ahead, consider ordering to go. Just did that for a special dinner at home, easily ordered the same day ( or last minute). The food still seemed freshly prepared once we got home. We had the millennium burger and mushroom beet tamal, Arborio crusted mushrooms, and seared asparagus. Each dish with unique flavors; each very satisfying.I have eaten at Millennium many times inside as well, and always enjoy the high quality of the creative dishes; highly recommend!
