Serves meat, vegan options available. Western sports bar and grill. Menu is American bar fare, but kitchen could make a vegan burger on request (not listed on the menu). Removed Jul 2017 - no vegan options.
When I pulled into this town to eat dinner, I checked with happycow.net first and found no listings. Mattie's seemed like a nice, friendly place, so I went in. I looked at the menu and was a little discouraged, but figured I could get a big salad with a vinaigrette dressing. When the waitress came for my order, I explained about eating vegan and gluten-free and she offered the vegan burger, which I had without the bun. The food was very fresh and good, and large portions, with a single order including two of the vegan patties. A nice option in a very small town without much in the way of choices for vegans.
