Ate here with my Sweets Relatives - who are carnivores, and they even said they would come back without us!
Menu is about 1/3 or more Vegan and labelled really well.
I had the Avocado Mango salad which was so tasty. Both the avo & the mango were just right ripe - both of which i've had be over or under ripe many times at other places - so that was a great way to start the meal.
Followed up with a half & half entree. I don't know if this is normal, but rather than get the Channa Massala (Garbonzo)entree, or the Baigan Bhartan Eggplant) entree, I asked our helper if she could do half of each - she didn't even flinch - No Problem! Very kind and accommodating. Food was excellent. Perfect portion size, rice was super fresh and moist and fluffy with no clumps.
All in all a really good experience with some great food in a nice venue with great views. For the quality, vibe and experience - this place is underpriced.

Pros: Delicious, well labeled Vegan, nice vibe and staff
Cons: only Dinner except wknd Brunch

Great Indian Food - Fine Ambience

A great find in Mt Shasta. Refined dining and quality cuisine.

4 of us ate here. All of us have traveled many times in india and Maruti compares favorably with the finest Indian restaurants.

Pure veg Indian menu (lacto-vegetarian)

Very well prepared Indian food. Everything was good. Especially recommend the Samosas - very fine and not too much oil as is common.
The Mango lassis had much better flavor than commonly found. In fact, everything was well prepared.

Comfortable indoor dining (with AC) and outdoor seating on a patio with views of Mt Shasta.

One caution. One of our party wanted one dish with mild spice and her definition was much more mild than the cook's definition. His mild I would call medium spicy.

Not inexpensive, but an excellent value considering the quality of the environment and the food.

Pros: Pure lacto-veg, Excellent food, Lovely views of Mt Shasta
