over priced, gross and greasy

My boyfriend and I recently went to Markos when the wait for a table down the street at Crazy Burger was over an hour. We were glad that Markos, like Crazy Burger, was BYOB. We sat outside and the restaurant was busy. We ordered a falafel appetizers, it was alright but we only got 3 falafels each for $7. This ended up being the best thing we ate all night. My boyfriend ordered the steak kabobs and I had the Mussaka. I can't personally speak for the kabobs but he wasn't impressed. My meal was overly greasy and under seasoned. I was looking forward to the peppers, eggplant and other vegetables in my meal but what I received was mostly potatoes and rice in a bland tomato sauce. I was expecting more for the $13 I paid, I felt jipped. I did not finish it and left still hungry. The service was slow but not the server's fault. They should have had more than one person serving on a Saturday night! We left very dissatisfied and will never return to Markos. We wished we had waited for a table at Crazy Burger.

Pros: BYOB

Cons: over priced , horrid food , slow service

One of our favorite Middle Eastern places!

Markos is one of our favorite Middle Eastern restaurants! The food is consistently fresh. Vegan items are clearly marked. We love the fries - hand cut half moons of potato! The vegan Moussaka ain't too shabby either!

Pros: Near the beach., Fresh., Tasty Moussaka and fries!
