The Mnuw Nautical Bar & Grill is the restaurant at the Manta Ray Hotel. It is a 170ft (55m) Phinisi schooner from Indonesia with 3 dining decks, 2 bars and her kitchen all on board. It is worth winding your way to the upstairs deck as it offers open air dinning.
There really are not a lot of Veggie options in Yap, especially if you do not occasionally eat fish. The Mnuw does offer a few options, they make pizzas and have a variety of Veggie toppings. There are also salads that you can get. Even thought the choices are meager they have three things working in their favor. The restaurant is also home to the Stone Money Brewing Co. where they make their own beer. It is pretty good and be sure and ask for the Texas 2-Step. Second they have excellent desserts, the fried bananas will make you wish you had skipped the pizza, and the apple cinnamon ice cream is a good starter! Finaly the third reason to eat here is that you can have agreat view of the setting sun.
The Mnuw is a pretty happening spot (for Colonia) usually full of Peace Corps types, divers, and researchers. There is a happy hour from 430 to 530 each day, and they have a screen set up outside on which they occasionally show movies. Cash (US$) and credit cards (no fee) are accepted. There is also WiFi available in the restaurant.Pros: Location, Microbrews, Desserts
Cons: Limited, Rain
