Once all vegetarian, now awful. Very few vegan choices- it is clearly a meat eaters paradise. So sad that a once veggie establishment closed and reopened as a meat eaters place. Profit-driven choice? My partner and I showed up about 5 times during their remodeling because they said they were open each time, only to find the restaurant still closed. They opened and closed many times in an irregular schedule but did not keep their website updated at all. And now that we can finally go, it is not good for vegans. What a shame.
Magnolia used to be great for vegans and non alike. Now it's terrible for all. It closed and re-opened and the vegan options suck, the service is terrible, even the regular food was bad according to friends. Just don't go there.
I had their one vegan brunch option of french toast, which was bland and chewy, and most everyone's meals in my group were burnt. Very nice staff but not good enough food or enough options to be worth going to.
Very cool spot to stop in and the staff picked up on our ordering quickly as coming from vegans and pointed out what was veg. vs vegan. Enough options and very tasty local sourced offerings.
We make the 2 hour drive (each way) from Montreal about once per month just to have breakfast at Magnolia. My fave is the Tofu Sesame Garlic Scram and my husband gets something different each time but always with a side of potato pancakes that he loves. Really fresh, good service and quite quick. Only downside is that they don't have a restaurant in Montreal!!
Great place.very cozy. Coconutpeanut sauce scramble excellent change up. Has vegan margarine for toast. Other diners made up own tofu scrambles with chipotle black beans. Fab potatoes & toast choices. Reasonable cost for amount & quality of food. Excellent service.. Local jams, ketchup & hot sauce.
Just went back there 4/13. Food was still good, albeit most of the menu is carnivore. The staff is extremely accommodating. The granola was very good and if you don't get the fruit you want on top, ask. They may have it in the back and will get it for you.
No parking, but there is metered parking about 200 feet away. Convenient to other places downtown.
The menu here is very well marked with vegan and gluten-free icons, but mostly consists of non-veg items. You can substitute tofu for the eggs in any of the scrambles or omelets, and there is a vegan french toast.
I put Magnolia in the category of compromise restaurants. They've got something for everyone, but are not particularly veg-friendly. They do, however, serve mostly locally produced products, which is a slight plus in my book.
this place has good food but isn't really vegan friendly...they have many thing on the menu that can be vegan and just as good by making minor changes...non the less i'm happy they have what they have...but vegeatarains can eat anything anywhere...so how about more vegan options?!
This place is great it is a green restaurant and has a really great atmosphere. If you are vegetarian it has a huge range of dining options and vegans are pretty well of as well. It is a great brunch spot and if you are vegan you can get any of the egg dishes with tofu instead.

limited vegan options - Edit
This place keeps changing the menu, but even the tofu scrams, marked as vegan, come with buttered toast unless you ask for it dry.
