Worst Customer Service - Edit
This has to be one of the worst experience from any restaurant from all the places I've been in the world.
Read moreThe lady who owns the place was extremely rude to my wife and I when we went there to grab a bite. We were unsure about what to get for Lunch as it was a weird time that we reached there. So decided we would start with some starters and then move on to get something further. The lady who served was very sweet and told us if we order again we would have to wait as the order goes in last which we agreed to as we were not in any hurry.
Once the food arrives, we ask for some plates and all hell broke loose. The owner suddenly jumps in and asks to pay $2 for using plates ( which was never communicated) and while we were still thinking of ordering a main course as well she went on a rude rant about how difficult it was to run a restaurant and treated as if she was doing us a favour by giving us food we ordered. My wife asked the lady to not to speak to us like that and she kept murmuring and being rude and started staring down my wife from the counter. It was really one of the weirdest thing as a customer we have experienced. She then proceeds to walk down to our table while staring at my wife and getting into her personal space saying "this is my shop I can do whatever I want". We decided this has gone very far and we decided to leave the place.
She runs a business for vegans and monks and she is really spewing venom to the customers. Really disheartened by the way a vegan business is run. My wife is still shocked by how she got in her personal space.
The food is good at the place but not worth your self respect and being treated like trash. Hope they make some changes or educate themselves on how to treat customers.
Pros: Food is good
Cons: Worst Customer Service , Portions

Wow that’s not something that I’ve ever experienced there and we’ve been many times. To be honest, the owner obviously is over worked and you just happen to experience her last straw. So far Loving Hut is one of the best vegan Asian restaurants we’ve tried in NSW, Qld and Victoria. It’s a shame that she was having a really bad day because this review is painting a picture like as if it’s like that all the time at Loving Hut, which it isn’t. Their sign in the restaurant talks about kindness and compassion….Not to take away from you and your wife’s one bad experience but maybe we need to show compassion for her for what she’s going through. ♥️

This is the only place in the area, but it’s actually very good. It’s a typical Loving Hut, small with the typical menu.

So many healthy vegan options! - Edit
I have been to Loving Hut many times before (but not at Bankstown before) so I had high expectations of the food. Since the menu is so huge it was hard to pick what to eat! We ended up trying a lot of different dishes, to read about my full experience, check out my blog: https://cookingwithyoshiko.com/vegan-vietnamese-meal-at-loving-hut-bankstown/

The food is cheap and the portions are large. There are lots of options on the menu but I would recommend the eggplant and tofu in claypot and chicken curry with vermicelli noodles.

Poor - Edit
Given that there are so many vegan options all over the place, this restaurant has to pull up its socks. Not only is the food sub standard but the service is poor as well.

Loving Hut bankstown offers many types of alternatives for your traditional asian dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive. Plenty of variety such as pho, crispy chicken etc.

The OG of Vegan Restaurant’s 🌱 - Edit
This was my first vegan restaurant that i’ve ever been to. I’ve been going to Loving hut for 6 years now. The food is delicious and there is hardly any wait time to receive your meal. There’s also some other vegan stuff that you can buy in store like mock beef jerky, vegan fish sauce etc. Remember that the restaurant is cash only.

tasy and inexpensive - Edit
I wondered around the streets determined to find Loving Hut in Blacktown and finally found it! I recommend bringing a map. It is about a 5 min walk from station. The range of food is not as extensive as the Loving Hut in Brisbane which has western and asian food. The meal I ate ( I can't actually remember now) but I remember getting 2 things, enjoyed very much and I was stuffed. Reasonably priced. The communication was somewhat challenging as the person serving me clearly couldn't speak English very well or understand it very well. She tried very hard and was nice, but I kind of wonder why they would get someone to serve that doesn't understand English. Maybe most of their customers are non-English speaker. Experience still enjoyable.

Unreliable - Edit
I would like to be able to review the menu offerings of Loving Hut Bankstown. This is the third time we've turned up to the restaurant during its opening hours to find it closed: this time we had actually made a reservation! Its a lone vegan restaurant that, unlike Newtown, is a long drive for us. I'm not going to bother again. The happy cow reviewing system doesn't let me give them fewer than two stars, although I would like to.

excellent food and value - Edit
I was playing in a Scrabble tournament at the nearby Bankstown Sports Club - came here for a hurried lunch which was delicious - so delicious that I brought the whole family for dinner the same night. DELICIOUS food at very reasonable prices. This is not a fancy restaurant decor and service wise, something which my family and I are never really looking for anyway so enjoyed a great meal.
