I have reported this to Happy Cow, but in the meantime please note that Lebensfroh is no longer open for business.
I enjoy visiting this place as I always experience something new and interesting. The atmosphere is also really homely and you almost feel as though you're in someone's living room.
The 'cakes' they serve are delicious and I love to try the creative raw meals they prepare e.g. salad wrap, pizza. I also really like the juices they make and you can choose from a selection and if you ask, they will make something to order.
Although I don't follow a strict raw diet, it's certainly interesting to try out and they also have a small shop selection raw food and 'super-foods', which I can imagine would be very handy if you follow a strict raw diet.Pros: Very creative
MY DAUGHTER IS RAW VEGAN CURRENTLY UNABLE TO EAT SOLID FOOD DUE TO A MEDICAL CONDITION. THIS RESTAURANT WAS HER IDEAL PLACE. THE SMOOTHIES WERE DELICIOUS. THE KITCHENS CLOSE AT 8PM SO MY HUSBAND AND I COULD ONLY HAVE SALAD BUT THAT WAS DELICIOUS AS WERE THE DESSERTS. THE RESTAURANT NOW CLOSES MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS. IT IS WISE TO PHONE AHEAD. WHEN WE WENT THERE A SECOND TIME THERE WAS A NOTICE ON THE DOOR SAYING THAT THEY WERE CLOSING AT 6PM ON THAT NIGHT. THE OWNER SPEAKS ONLY A LITTLE ENGLISH AND THERE IS NO ENGLISH MENU BUT SHE WAS LOVELY AND FRIENDLY. WE WILL GO BACK THERE NEXT TIME WE VISIT BERLIN.
This nice little cafe at Görlitzer Park offers some totally delicious raw organic cakes and desserts. Their selection's been different every time I went, so there's always something new to discover. They do have a real good organic coffee as well.
It's a great place to sit outside in the sun, and they are kid-friendly.
They also offer a variety of healthy, high quality shelf-products such as Macca, Xylit and Chufas.
All i can say, is I can't wait to go back to this place - the food was excellent, the price very good, the atmosphere was about as comfortable as you can get - these people really care - Berlin is lucky to have Lebensfroh!
What a great find. Someone who is passionate about what they prepare and sell you. The owner is successfully living what he preaches, except for one small oversight, maybe a typo, Lebensfroh is not Vegan, but vegetarian, as they do have milk and honey there. I don't like to support a place that makes a profit from the unnatural treatment of animals, but I hope that one day they see the light when it comes to fairness on this planet, especially for animals. Otherwise, it's a place to get real healthy food and as much as I hate to recommend it - because they are not vegan - I have to tell all vegetarians that it's great. Even that was hard to write :o)Pros: Reasonbly priced, Fresh, Good atmosphere
Cons: Not Vegan, Use milk, Use honey
If you don't have the time for going on the long trip out to Wilmersdorf to get some raw vegan cuisine food, check out LebensfRoh! The place is run by a very friendly vegan. For a total of 32€, my partner and I got a smoothie, a delicious raw dish (polenta and raw pizza), three desserts and a raw chocolate bar. Everything was amazingly fresh and tasty. There was nice music playing and cosy seats, relaxed and nice atmosphere. This place is definitely worth a trip!
