Fabulous Food - Edit
After several days of the hustle and bustle of Quebec City, a search for good vegan fare led us across the river to Le Soixante 5. So many positive reviews could not be wrong, right? Well, they were not! The food is excellent (including the pumpkin cake for dessert) and the service is very good without being obsequiously hovering. It was well worth the ferry ride across and the hike up the hill, although my wife and I actually like hiking and climbing hills. Go to LS5 while in Quebec City. You will not be disappointed.

What a great find. We had an amazing meal. Imaginative, tasty, and beautifully presented. A good selection of interesting drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The service couldn't have been kinder.

So good! - Edit
Delicious food, friendly service! There was something for everyone - even my picky child enjoyed her nachos, and my sister (who "wasn't in the mood for vegan food") loved her meal. I had the popcorn cauliflower to start followed by the polenta and both were amazing! I'd definitely go again. We were there on a Sunday evening and I was worried because we didn't reserve but it was not at all busy.

Very nice vegan restaurant - Edit
The food is really tasty and really creative in taste. Everything I ate was really delicious. The flavor are deep enough and gives a surprise to your mouth. I was really happy after finishing my dinner. For the moment I think is the best vegan restaurant in Québec city.

Amazing Restaurant! - Edit
My husband and I recently dined here while visiting Quebec. It was an easy (and beautiful) ferry ride to Levis. We ate brunch and the food was phenomenal! We also had the smoothie of the day. Everything was so fresh, made to order, and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Fabulous vegan dining - Edit
The Couscous Royal, Frommage Cheese Sticks, Nachos Gustav and Bourginon were served for 2. The chef was obviously a vegan chef first. What I liked most was the fact that the dishes weren’t modified to become vegan they all were designed to be vegan so they contained adequate protein unlike many places which just leave out the non vegan protein. All of our menu choices were delicious. A local beer choice called Anne Bonny is made right down the street. Server was very friendly and polite. He spoke English as well as French. Very enjoyable evening sitting on the patio.

Good comfort vegan food - Edit
Mac and cheez was very good with the addition of the fried seitan, however missing a little bit of flavor in the sauce. The Linguine de la Mer were very tasteful, however would want more spinach and mushrooms in it. So yes, it's a good place for vegan food to try.

Nice to have vegan French cuisine - Edit
I love that this restaurant attempts to recreate traditional French meals which are usually reserved for meat eaters. For example, the mushroom bourguignonne was delicious. It is, however, quite pricey and the servings are not very big. We were hungry pretty soon afterwards.

Boat ride and walk up the hill worth it - Edit
A friendly staff and clean bright restaurant. We both had the burger which was a very good lunch choice. I wish I had more command of French so I could have better understood the menu written on the board.

Service was not the best the night we went. Waitress seemed always slightly annoyed if we had questions about the menu...
Read moreThe nacho was good. The curry lentils was really good but the Buddha bowl was pretty disappointing... everything was greasy with an oil I could quite put my finger on... maybe grape seed? But everything was covered with it and tasted almost off... Not worth the $15 or so.
Pros: atmosphere , list of vegan local wines
Cons: menu changes, seems like a hit and miss from a plate to another, service

One of the Best I've been to - Edit
Rather than just slapping some tofu on a bun, the chef clearly shows the potential of how vegan food can surpass animal-based food. She is creative and blends flavors and textures perfectly.
Read moreWhile on vacation my normal healthy very low fat diet was put on hold. I ordered from the weekend brunch menu, exquisite vegan sausage, very tasty tofu scramble and a vegan pancake.
Fun to take Ferry back to Quebec City - reasonably priced for car and two passengers ($9.50 US). We would have come again but they close on Monday.
Pros: Classy restaurant, Creative dishes
Cons: Closed Monday

Very very good! - Edit
We enjoyed this restaurant a lot! It was very good, the portions were fair and the restaurant looks nice. We ate outside because it was a bit noisy inside. Only thing I would do different, is have written menus with descriptions. I understand that the menu changes and that is why they write it on a board on the wall, but I still rather read it than have the waitress explain and try to remember everything. Other than that it was perfect!

Such excellent food that we came back for dinner after having lunch there! Their scrambled tofu and seaweed linguine is to die for. They really bring about the flavour of their mushroom dishes.
