Very tasty! - Edit
Love the concept of La Marmite! The atmosphere in this cosy restaurant is great, but it is a little hard to find. It doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside We were lucky to have the address with us, otherwise we would have probably just walked past it. Only one menu per day and on the day we were there the only vegan option was the soup (the main dish was vegetarian). It was really tasty - I got a bowl of soup, bread and some sort of vegetable spread for the bread, all for 2.5€. Would definitely recommend it!

great place! - Edit
Really great place ! Original food , nice people and you pay as much as you think ( from 4 to 10) . Big tea selection and you get a pot ( more than 3 glasses ) for 1 euro...

La Marmite - Edit
Most of all I liked the concept that you could pay what you like, and the setting was comfy. On the day I visited there really wasn't too much for vegans, I ended up having brocolli, some salad and bread, all of which were actually lovely and it was filling enough for lunch, there was a better choice for non-vegans, and my non-vegan friends really enjoyed their meals. The fresh juice was very nice too.

Cons: Not very vegan friendly

Alternative restaurant - Edit
I like this place a lot, both for the food and the concept. It's a pay as you wish restaurant (4 euros if you are broke to 10 euros if you want to support the project). They serve a dish of the day always vegetarian (not vegan) or soup but there is no menu.
Read moreIts' a welcomming little restaurant, not too far from the city center so if you are visiting Brussels and want to get away from the touristy, expensive restaurants, it's the place to go.
A big plus: they have beers from the Brasserie de la Senne, the only brewery still operating in Brussels. They are great and usually more expensive than at La Marmite!
