Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant at The Tides Hotel. Offers a separate vegan menu with multiple appetizers, soups, and main entrees available for both lunch and dinner. Reported closed Nov 2017.
Beautiful place, food expensive and not great - Edit
This place is worth visiting. It is absolutely stunning. The dining area is located on the beach, but you need to make a reservation to get premium seating.
They have a separate vegan menu - the only one in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo-. Thank you for that. We ordered the huitlacoche cream soup, which was out of this world, but our entrees were bland. My tofu salad was just that, pieces of tofu out of the box with lettuce and dressing (~$15USD) and my husband's zuchini blossom tacos, which are hard to get wrong tasted just like boiled stuff without spices or anything.
Although there were no vegan desserts, the chef offered to make us a tasting of sorprise vegan desserts - it was a beautiful array of simple desserts: hibiscus granita, berries and figs flambe and a "tofu custard" (tofu with melted brown sugar in a sweet syrup).
The service was superb and the drinks delicious, but I wouldn't go back to this place for the food.
