Well worth the effort!

We absolutely loved this property, the food, the atmosphere and the owners. Situated on the edge of the Karuhangi National Park and down a dirt road it takes a bit of effort to get there but justifies a 2 or 3 night stay in which to enjoy the above. It has been built with the utmost of care and attention to detail and has eco toilet/shower unit. Mark & Hanne provide a vegetarian breakfast & meal on request and it is very, very good; including some ingredients from the garden. Hanne also does a flax weaving course which we really enjoyed. We actually stayed there in Dec 2009 and it's taken H.C. quite a few months to add the property. I'm sure that it is of the same standard and it is in our top 3 of properties in NZ. I think that they now offer collection from Karamea and the Trailhead.

Pros: Owners, Veg Food, Property & Location
Cons: A long drive
