Worth a second visit

True Ital food, lovingly prepared. Steamed Tofu, Lentil Balls, Bean salad, pasta salad, and so much more. All delicious. We will be back.

Pros: Delicious fresh vegan options, Mix and match choices, Colorful, healthy, full plate

Friday vegan plate

Stewed lentils, curry cabbage, brown rice, lentil balls, fresh garden salad, quinoa salad. So much food. So filling. Had the peanut punch too.

Probably my favorite place to eat

I eat here almost daily when I'm in town. The vibe is phenomenal, the customer service and great and they have always accommodated my food allergies. Chris takes pride in providing food that heals.

Such good food and great owner!

Food was really good! The owner is vegan and there is a main dish for each day of the week as well as vegan sandwiches/wraps, sides, and drinks! #Veganuary

Fantastic!

You can always count on a great vegan plate here! Sometimes there’ll be soup and dessert too, and local drinks of course. Love it!

Unbelievably Outstanding.

Chef Chris creates two entree selections per night, one vegan one fish. Get the Lentil Balls! We took them home for breakfast. St Croix restaurants are expensive but this one was well worth it. We came back three nights on our vacation!!!

Small setting with amazing food

The food was amazing and well worth it. Not a traditional restaurant setting as some would expect, regardless, we had a great experience.

Pros: Food was amazing , Shareable meals

Cons: Very small restaurant - seats 7-10 total , Limited drinks (no alcohol)

Some of the best lentil balls!

Locally owned Caribbean flavored food with a vegetarian twist. Located in the heart of Christiansted town off Market Street upstairs. For you fish lovers, fish is on the menu. The peas balls are the bomb. I frequent on occassions just for those! Some of the best tasted!

Pros: Lentil balls nice!

Delicious - Make Sure You Try the Lentil Balls!

My husband is vegan and I am gluten free so we always have a tough time eating out. Ital in Paradise makes it easy for us to actually enjoy a night out! Our favorite thing to do is to order ahead to pickup and bring the takeout down to the beach or the boardwalk for a picnic.

Pros: excellent food, friendly vibe

Cons: small dining room

Absolutely amazing

Delicious 🤤 food! Small place and we didn’t find it right away, you need to turn right to stairs after Riddims. The food was so amazing and huge portion too. Highly recommend.

Pros: Delicious

Great food!

There is one vegan plate available every day with some additional side options. There is also one fish plate available for your meat eating friends. I have eaten the vegan plates twice and they were fantastic. My friends who live in St Croix go there often for the vegan plates and they are not even vegan. There is not a lot of seating so most people order the food to go.

Worth the wait!

Tiny little Rastafarian restaurant tucked away in a staircase, very sweet waitstaff. The food took forever BUT outstanding flavors!! Some of the best tasting food we’ve had in a while, each day they have a “vegan plate” and a “fish plate” (plus a few sandwiches, sides, and drinks) so because we came Thursday we had the bbq tofu plate. Definitely try the fried cauliflower, absolutely spectacular

Tofu BBQ

We stopped in here for lunch and each had their Tofu BBQ plate, excellent! Loved the BBQ, the fried lentil balls, the brown rice, and the salad. Fresh made juice too! Highly recommended.

Pros: great food, central location

Cons: small kitchen, you may have to wait a bit

Great Food! Great Juices!

Definitely visit Ital in Paradise if you are looking for a tasty vegan meal in St. Croix. There is a fish dish on the menu, but the vegan food is clearly marked. I have been there twice now and enjoyed both of the "vegan plates" that the chef made. The fried lentils and tofu were nicely balanced with well-seasoned rice, plantains and a fresh salad. The food is nourishing, healthy, and delicious, and the portions are generous. Make sure to try one of their juices too, and eat in: the cafe is cute, air-conditioned, and centrally located in Christiansted.

Ital in Paradise is one of the only vegan-friendly places in Christiansted open for dinner (most only serve lunch). I've already been to the restaurant twice, and I have plans to visit again!

Pros: Well-balanced meal: healthy & tasty, Big portions, Rotating menu

Pleasant Surprise!

First off, "Ital" is not short for Italian, but is rather a Rastafarian style of food.

Small restaurant with maybe 8 chairs on a second floor. Short menu, with one or two main dishes available each day, one of which is always vegan. Vegan veggie burger also available. Several side dishes including fried plantains, but unfortunately a few such as the lentil balls which have such good reviews were not available. Delicious juices as well, including soursop and chlorophyll juices.

We got a kale dish with coconut fried rice and a salad. Also, Christopher the owner was kind enough to give us fried bread fruit and the chlorophyll juice for free.

Everything was awesome. My family of 11 (mom, dad, brother, sis-in-law, 4 nieces) left happy and full.

Pros: Delicious, Big portions, Friendly service

Cons: Small restaurant
