Great Food

Whenever I'm craving Indian, I like to go here. Just be sure to mention that you're vegan. I made the mistake of ordering a lentil dish that was prepared with dairy butter (nothing is labeled to say that something is vegan). Fortunately, the person helping me was very kind to inform me and they gave me a new plate. Anyway, order the combo plate and get a few samosas. It's all delicious!

Not spectacular for vegans

I wouldn't hurry back to Torrance for this. It's primarily a grocer. They didn't seem particularly friendly, almost bothered I asked for dairy free options. Despite having ingredients listed for many sweets that appeared vegan, they only said one item was. Only 3 items that day in the hot bar were vegan.

Pros: Tastes good., Parking

Cons: Few vegan options

Mixed bag of taste

As an Indian, the flavors are a mixed bag. The owners are Punjabi so safe bet is to order north Indian stuff. The poha (traditionally Maharashtrian or Central India) was quite mediocre. Chaat was decent. Samosas seem to the thing to get.

Pros: Lots of veg options

Cons: Expensive for the quality

Delicious Indian food and Sweets

I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Deliciously flavorful and authentic. Perfect place for lunchtime. The portions are nice and prices are very fair. I love the pistachio and carrot sweets. Also delicious samosas and sauces.

Pros: Fully vegetarian market, Short wait time , Local family owned business

Simple and Sweet

This is a fantastic no-frills establishment.

The grocery store has an amazing selection of foreign goods for low prices.

In the back of the store there is an open cafeteria where you can get a hot combo plate. You get something like rice, two sides, a tortilla thing, and a samosa or pankora for $5! It's an absurd amount of food and yet it is as delicious as it is cheap!

I was absolutely thrilled that all of their dishes are vegetarian and they have 6 dishes that are vegan, not counting sweets, bread or rice. They have a great selection.

Oh, one bad thing- the worker put some "pickled" vegetables on my rice as a mini-side, and I was NOT a fan. It was like eating potpourri. I liked everything else, though and will be back.

Pros: Fast, Inexpensive, Tasty

Cons: not fancy

India sweets and grocery:)

This place is right down the street from me I LOVE the spicy food and so does my family. I suggest to any one that you order what my aunt calls "thanksgiving in a cup", cant think of the name but its a #9 just make sure they don't put the yogurt on it(if your vegan-it has dairy in it)and the spicy green sauce(if u cant handle HOTT!like me)ohh and u cant forget the rice its amazing!!! another little thing some of the dishes have cram or milk mainly just the spinach i think

Pros: friendly staff, GREAT healthy food, GREAT value
