What a Gem! - Edit
This place was off the charts! Everyone here is SO nice, and they support🇵🇸
Read moreI got the shrimp dinner with mac n cheese and coleslaw. I subbed the cocktail sauce for their homemade ranch, and wow! I also tried some of their hush puppies and they were great. I got the snicker doodle cake and cookies and cream cake to go as well.
It was seriously a great place and I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Memphis!

Memphis BBQ, vegan style! - Edit
We enjoyed dinner at imagine Cafe. We had the sampler appetizer platter, BBQ platter, chicken philly, chocolate shake, and funfetti cake. The BBQ sandwich platter was hands down the best BBQ we've ever had. It is a must when visiting this cafe!

Delicious food and dessert - Edit
Another vegan gem in Memphis. My husband and I met a friend here for dinner as we were traveling through the Midwest. We ordered many things from the menu (too many great options and we couldn’t decide), all of which were delicious. We ordered the KFC plate, the spinach artichoke dip, chicken and waffles, and sides of the greens and broccoli. The portions were huge (we had a bough left over for us all to take food with us for another meal). The mac and cheese, corn bread, and mashed potatoes and gravy were unbelievably good. The chicken was delicious, the waffles were sweet yet savory, and the artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had (it was served with tortilla chips). The peanut butter and chocolate shake and Biscoff cake we got for dessert were also delicious. If I’m ever back in Memphis, I’m definitely coming back here!

100% Vegan Restaurant! - Edit
Imagine is a rarity in Memphis (well, the South in general) in that it's a 100% vegan restaurant & the prices are more than fair. While the use of processed, store-bought products leads to lower my overall rating, I'd be remiss to not emphasize the importance Imagine carries in their local community.

The vegan drumsticks are the best I’ve had, and everything I tried was delicious. Make sure to try the cornbread too! Nice dine-in experience.

So many great options - Edit
I love that the whole menu is vegan so I could finally let my babies browse the menu and choose what they want. I like all of the options, the staff is friendly and the food is good. #Veganuary

GET THE GUMBO - Edit
GET THE GUMBO it was the winner, so good! We also got the BBQ sandwich absolutely delish, get an extra side of slaw if you’re a slaw person (like me). We also tried the shrimp - the most like a real shrimp I’ve ever had. The greens were delish, and the beans have that hint of sweet / bushs baked beans that round everything out. No frills type of place, servers were incredibly sweet and attentive!

Celiacs beware - Edit
I was so excited to go here when I saw their menu and all the items marked gf. When we arrived I was trying to decide between all the chicken items and asked the waiter for advice. He said they were out of gf buns. Then said I could have the fried chicken if I didn't mind cross-contamination since they fry all their gf items with their gluten items. That left nothing on the menu I could eat but the sides. Boiled and tasteless. So disappointed.

Great experience-again. - Edit
Normally I only get take out but it was Thanksgiving Day. They had run out of the special holiday meal (sad and happy at the same time) but I still had a great meal. Shared a photo of the holiday meal offerings, you can sponsor/pay what you can which is also awesome. Woman serving was a delight, great help when I was overwhelmed by all the dessert options. I am used to seeing donuts and another option but there was a stocked cooler and cakes whole/by the slice available. I was told the desserts are also available to order as are the dressing. So glad I stopped by, meal was delicious and ended up eating it for dinner also.

I can’t wait to go back - Edit
The barbecue is absolutely incredible. Their desserts are fantastic. The Mac and cheese was a little bland for me, but the gumbo and collard greens were amazing as well. Homemade chicken nuggets were so unique and flavorful. Their ranch is also killer! Can’t wait to go back.

Truly vegan - Edit
The cheesecake was tremendous. The potato salad was too mustardy and were huge chunks of potato, rather than being bite-size. The plastic spork was too flimsy to cut through the potatoes, which weren’t cooked well, so I had to cut them with the handle. Same with the broccoli

really good food. - Edit
Recently took a visit here during my last trip to Memphis. I found the wait staff to be friendly and helpful.
Read moreI had the chicken tender appetizers, which i found to taste pretty close to what i remember the real things tasting like. I also had the bbq platter which i found to be very good. pretty much exactly how i remember the real thing. i would highly recommend this.
i followed all that with a chocolate shake, which was also very good.
this cafe was very good. the menu seems to heavily lean towards fake meat products, so if you are looking for fresh produce and/or soy free meal your options are a bit limited. I also found the prices to be a tiny bit high, but not too bad. more expensive than fast food but close to what i would expect for a sit down cafe setting.
edit: i have since been here two more times. I have gotten the BBQ platter both of those times because it is just that good. I have also gotten the chicken drumsticks which were delicious; legit finger licking good.
i have gotten two different deserts as well: the vegan snicker-doodle cake, which was pretty tasty, but a bit too sweet for me; and the cookie sandwich, which was very good. overall i have been pretty satisfied with this place.

You have to go here - Edit
Wow. An amazingly delicious supper was had by our family. This was an absolutely welcome surprise after a long day of driving from North Carolina. We enjoyed the homemade chicken and waffles (arguably the best chick'n we've ever had), Mac and cheese (also, up there with the best), the gumbo, a big platter of fries with popcorn chicken and Carolina gold, cheese, and ranch sauces (what a fabulous indulgence!) and the Southern Staple (a pile of brown rice, greens, beans, and cornbread. Go there.

Portions were huge. Carolina chicken fries were so good; I couldn’t believe the cheese was vegan. BBQ plate was excellent, as was the chili and banana cream pie. Super cute restaurant with friendly staff.

Gluten Free Friendly - Edit
This was actually our 2nd choice, but 1st choice wouldn't answer phone to ask questions about gluten free items. So glad we ended up here!! 1st off, I made a mistake and accidentally ordered an item I thought was GF, but it was not. They were super nice about changing my order at the last minute. Everything was great, they have an awesome dessert case where more than 1/2 the items were GF. I had real Southern Banana Pudding for the first time out in years. We can't wait to go back.
