"Plants are healthy"

...seems to be the motto here. This store calls itself health food store and offers all kinds of mostly vegetarian and vegan products. They have a large assortment with typical Korean noodles, grains, teas, nuts, dried fruits but also imported goods. You can find diverse vegan snacks, packaged breads, non-dairy cheese and mock meats. Among those, there are several processed foods like veganized corn dogs, soy cutlets as well as vegan instant noodles. Must be convenient for shopping if you live in this neighborhood.

They do sell honey and fresh eggs (not organic), so it is advisable to check the label. I suggest to check the expiration date as well...

Staff speaks English and should be able to help customers who don't speak Korean.

Nice

Lots and lots of vegan or vegetarian groceries which is great, but not everything is so be careful and read the labels! Easy to miss if you've never been there. Very nice owner!

The semi-vegetarian grocery store of Seoul

This is not a vegan grocery store. There was a lot of hidden dairy and egg in many of the house brand items including the soy milk which apparently had cow's milk in it. They also sell honey. This store affiliates with the Seventh Day Adventist church. If you can't use online shopping its a great place to get Vegefood, Vegan Farm, and sometimes Violife products. Be sure to read labels. I even found some inconsistently labelled soup broth as a few bags listed cow meat as an an ingredient and a few didn't even though they were otherwise packaged the exact same way.

Nice vegan store

The place is Named Hunza NOT Hoonja. I was walking in circles looking for it, then saw a Korean storefront with a poster for vegan cheese and assumed that must be it. lots of vegan goodies most of it is marked but somethings say vegetarian even though they are vegan. A little pricey, but worth it occasionally. I did see at least one item made with honey, see be mindful of ingredients.

Pros: Vegan fake meats, Vegan cheese slices, Vegan instant veggie noodles

Cons: Expensive, owner speaks very little English
