cafeteria style - Edit
Was a bit difficult to find, but we eventually got there. The restaurant looked run down and "like a cafeteria" The staff spoke limited english.
Read moreThe menu was well used (with lots of menu items crossed out) however many mock meat choices to choose from. The food was nice.
There were some biscuits & dessert buns on display. When asked if they contained eggs or dairy they replied that they use dairy in the process - for all of them. So I didn't order any of those.

really good - Edit
Its located on the 3rd level. Hard to locate but very spacious. Not luxury but a quiet place to sit and enjoy vegetarian food.

all you can expect from a veg Chinese restaurant - Edit
The menu is extensive. They use plant-based meats, which they call "doughs". Plenty of food starch and oil- some dishes are very gelatinous. The service is good and the place is very clean. The staff is very nice, but their English is limited.

Anothe Traditional Restaurant standing strong - Edit
Located inside the Pearl's Centre, this eatery has been around for many years. When I turned vegetarian in 1993, this eatery was one of those few vegetarian restaurants that we could go to. Nowadays, been a vegetarian is such a blessing as there are so many vegetarian eateries mushrooming everywhere and even non-vegetarian eateries are vegetarian friendly.
Read moreNothing much has changed in this eatery, it still maintains the 80s Chinese Restaurant Vibe. The menu looks the same, serving Traditional Chinese Vegetarian Cuisine, with maybe a dollar or two increases for some of the dishes. No Service Charge and No GST.
I already had some free snack at Ginger Cafe at Blood Bank after donating blood (iron is not an issue in vegetarian diet, we vegetarian can donate blood too). And dinning alone, I can't order much except for those noodle or rice dishes like Hor Fun, Fried Noodle, Fried Rice etc.
As I wanted more vegetables, therefore I ordered Curry Vegetable@ $4 (deep-fried tofu, potatoes, cabbage and bean curd skin) and a small bowl of steamed rice @ $0.50. On the whole, the curry looks quite plain and without much color or vegetable variety and tastes just like any normal curry but a little thicker.
But the portion is good and price is reasonable and the plus point is that there is no mock meat, the ingredients like potatoes, tofu, cabbage are of high nutrients. For those who are health conscious, we can simply do not consume slurp too much of the curry sauce which used coconut milk.
There were quite a sizable crowd on a weekday lunch time after 1pm when I was there.
And they have a little shop beside the restaurant near the lift but the door is shut, so if you want to buy any vegetarian products or grocery there, you need to approach them at the cashier in the restaurant.

Excellent Food, Excellent Service!! - Edit
Has been patronising this restaurant for over 10 years, & their service & food juz get better & better!!
Read moreIf U are a long-time vegetarian, this is the place for U especially if You do not like to eat alot of those "mock" stuff.
U Muz try their Wan-Tan Noodle, Chai Tao Kway, Char Kway Teow, these are the Die-Die Muz Try stuff. The other food are also very delicious, but I juz can't recall now, cos I've been trying out a wide variety of their food.
Its worth a 5* rating, but will only give it 4* now so that I can get to see what other improvement this restaurant can offer to their customers.
Pros: Healthy Cuisine, V. Friendly Staff, Excellent food
