First of all, let me just say that Revenue Canada should really look into their financial records. It amazes me that they are completely unwilling to provide you with a receipt, even via email. (How many people do you think have an extra couple dollars tacked on their bill with no knowledge) Second- when other guests say that the service is terrible, they are being really nice. This woman is a whole new level of crazy. In her own words, she does not want kids in the restaurant because they don't make her money. I myself don't have kids, I just think this is a shocking thing to admit to patrons. It amazes me that this place is called "Gratitude" because the owner does not seem to have any of that. She was yelling at people in the restaurant- and not in a "ha ha, this wiil be funny later" kind of way, but in a "WTF is she really talking to people like this??" I should note that you don't have to be a sensitive person to be shocked at the miserable attitude of the owner. There is also a $5 charge if you don't finish your food...this isn't all-you-can-eat sushi, you can't just charge people $5 because they didn't finish their piece of toast. I will admit that the food here is good, but in a small town like Kelowna where you need to rely on repeat customers after the summer months, you should be nicer! People might like the food, but if you are an awful human being, people won't want to support your business. Note to the owner: give your head a shake, or you're not going to make it in this town.
