Superb Eatery- everything is organic and homemade. Bill the owner is lovely.

This is an excellent restaurant that is mainly vegan but has chicken and fish options. Otherwise it would be 5 stars from me. We shared the lentil soup (like manna on a cold day), the superb cauliflower steak with basil sauce, and the portobello mushroom quesadilla. The food was so good, fresh and wholesome that we had to try the dessert. Oh my word the blueberry cheesecake was wonderful. The icing on the cake was Bill the owner, who not only served us, made the cheesecake!!! The best meal I had on my trip to NYC. Support this wonderful business.

Great lunch spot on the UES

A new owner took over during the shutdown and has really improved both the menu & the decor. If you haven't been here in a couple years, give it another try!

There are tons of vegan options: soups, salads, burgers, sweet potato fries, zoodles (zucchini noodles), real pasta, quinoa bowls, tacos, cheesecakes, pies, and more. All the vegan and vegetarian items are marked on the menu. Even most non-veg items have a vegan option if you request it.

There are tons of GF options, but they're not labelled (yet). There is a small GF section on the menu, but *many* other things throughout the menu have GF options (just ask).

This is the Upper East Side, so nothing is going to be cheap. But prices are very reasonable relative to everything else in the neighborhood.

Pros: Gluten free and vegan options, Friendly & knowledgeable staff, Amazing photo of a sunlit forest covering one wall

Cons: No restroom

Okay place

Since this is in my neighborhood, I go here often, especially when I am with omnivores. The food here is pretty good, and somewhat healthy. This is no the type of place I would go out of my way to eat at, but it is fine if in the neighborhood.

Lots of Vegan Options at this UES Spot!

This cute little spot has a lot of vegan options. I’ll also say that their vegan options are a bit pricier — but that’s likely because they’re on the Upper East Side which is a nicer area and I understood that when going there to eat so it wasn’t a big deal. BUT, at least they have vegan options! I emphasize them having the options because this isn’t a vegan restaurant! The cafe is meant to be a healthy place to eat, and they sell dishes with chicken, fish and turkey. They don’t sell red meat or pork. They have a pad Thai dish, and several other vegan options, enough to have something to choose from and not feel deprived. They also have a dedicated vegan dessert menu— a full menu that has about 4 or 5 desserts on it, including pies and cheesecake. Great place and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Pros: Many vegetarian and vegan options, Full vegan dessert menu

Cons: Expensive

not satisfying

they had several vegetarian options but only very few vegan. I got the only vegan burger, which was okay but a little boring. It was served with approximately 6 nacho-chips with no dip. For a price of about 10 dollars, I left the place very unsatisfied.

Cannot recommend.

Pros: have something vegan, food is okay

Cons: expensive, small portion

Good food

We had the Tex Mex burger (automatically vegan) and Taco O'le (had to ask for it vegan) and they were good. The menu didn't match what was online because they don't say on the website that they have a restricted menu for lunch. It is easy for take away and they deliver too.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Restricted lunch menu
