lovely but needs vegan option

As per everybody else's comments - but having no vegan options (except soup) means that you are going to lose your main customer base (not just vegans but moderately religious jews, lactose intolerant, etc). also be aware that the google map is not very accurate - its where Lambeth bridge meets the Thames (south bank, east of the bridge).

Pros: beautiful environment

Cons: limited cheese free (and egg) dishes

For foodies

I went at this place with my girlfriend. It was a beautiful restaurant very well decorated. We both are very foodie but fussy at the same time. But this time we decided to choose some very unusual and interesting dishes on the menu. I had a pork chop and duck cottage pie, both were excellent. We liked the food. Plus the service was attentive and friendly. We have planned to visit this place again soon.

Disappointing for a vegan.

I had a soup and bread which for almost £5 was nice enough but the portion was very small. I had finished the soup in a very short amount of time.

Please provide vegan choices - I assure you that vegans are attracted to veggie places like moths to light. You will get more business :)

Pros: Nice building, cutesy cafe.

Cons: Little vegan choice., Expensive for what you get.

limited

had lunch her on a busy saturday in august, was tranquil and a great chilled setting.
a very limited menu with three lunch options and a couple of salads. very limited but everything looked good quality and was well presented. if you're vegan tell them as they were about to add creme fraiche to my soup without asking. The herbs used are definitely fresh and used in abundance.

staff were lovely and it is very well priced for a lunch.

Pros: setting, price

Cons: limited, but a lunch place.

Not really vegan friendly

I've been here twice and although it's a beautiful spot I don't find it very vegan friendly, non of the cakes are vegan and they don't even have any dairy free alternative milk so no coffee...as for lunches, there were just one vegan option when I was there and that was a soup. Don't come here for coffee or if you're hungry...

Pros: beautiful place

Cons: only one vegan option, no dairy free milk, no vegan cakes

Cosy environment, authentic food

This cafe is located inside of an old church. As soon as you've had a first glanze at the exterior, you instantly get that cosy feeling, which only increases once you step inside the cafe (the "hallway" is like a tiny grove!)
I had the summer vegetable soup alongside some sourdough bread, and it was absolutely lovely! It is by far the best soup I've ever had at a restaurant! The staff were really sweet, and the whole experience felt very pleasant and laidback to me. I will most certainly return to this wonderful cafe! This is my number one tip of restaurants in London.

Pros: Beautiful, laidback environment, Lovely food, Great staff

Cons: Cash only

Simple, Cozy, Nutritious

Life doesn't need to be sophisticated to be nourished.
So does the food here, nothing but simple homemade menu of the day which is simply delicious.

Usually have soup of the day, fresh vegetable salad, and 3-4 main courses to choose, also some vegetarian/vegan bakery.

Some menu is limited so there's less choices for late lunch, recommended to arrive early. Although there's not many variety, but overall is very yummy and lovely.

Worth to have a simple meal in cosy place to nourish your body! :)

Pros: Fresh & Good taste

Cons: Limited choice

peaceful cafe near westminster

The cafe is in the garden museum, a converted.church and graveyard just over the river from parliament/Westminster. Some seating indoors and you can also sit outside in the walled garden to eat.
For a small cafe there was a reasonable choice of soup, salad and a couple of mains which you could have as a platter with salads. The soup one main and all salads were vegan and had great fresh herby flavour.
The environment makes this cafe work.

Pros: peaceful environment, good flavour and some vegan choices

Cons: don't expect a massive range, can have long queues

Good food in unusual setting

Last visited on 17.02.10. A lovely vegetarian cafe with at least 3 vegan choices on a small but interesting menu. Situated inside an old church that is now the Museum of Garden History.

Pros: Reasonably Priced, Friendly Staff, Good size portions

Scrumptious

We stumbled on this place by accident one lunchtime and had a delicious meal consisting of a hot dish accompanied by very fresh salad. Creative dishes, quiet atmosphere and good prices. Only negative was that staff were a bit off hand, but it didn't detract too much from the experience.

Pros: Delicious food, Creative menu, Location

Cons: Staff
