Yummy burgers - Edit
Went here a few years ago when it was called the Fat Pumpkin. Myself and a friend both ordered burgers which were nice and hit the vegan junk food spot!

Okay food - Edit
I had a dish (posted) that I found to be a bit too greasy unfortunately. Perhaps it was because all I had eaten the the days before going there was all raw food. But the staff were friendly and accommodating nonetheless.

Good place, but we chose not tasty food - Edit
Nice place, very friendly staff. But we chose something wrong on the menu. Let's try to give a chance to the Green pumpkin. We ordered pasta and burger with mushroom. The pasta was very greasy and the burger just didn't taste good. We hope to change our mind.

Would give 6 stars if I could - Edit
Fine dining experience, except the portions are huge. Really tasty meals, friendly service, a bit pricy but reasonable for this quality. Lot of choice and great variety in the menu.

Best dining experience in Riga - Edit
We ordered two mains:
Read more- potato rosti with vegetables and garlic sauce (8€)
- crispy oyster mushroom burger with chips (8€)
The rosti was excellent and had a very rich taste. Its vegetables were nicely seasoned with soy sauce. The dish had an exceptional presentation.
The burger was small. The oyster mushroom was nicely done. The chips were phenomenal, delicious on its own without any sauce.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Riga looking for a decent meal.
Pros: Excellent food, Good value for tourists, Clean and quiet
Cons: Small portions

Good vegan food at stylish restaurant - Edit
This 100% vegan restaurant reopened recently at a new location (not in the old town but in the less touristic more Northern part of Rīga). The interior is very nice and stylish. There was no terrace when we were there. But they just moved to this new location so maybe the terrace was just not ready yet.
Read moreThere is quite al lot of choice in vegan dishes. We tried the gazpacho soup and the mushroom soup, 2 different burgers and the vegan lemon-cheese cake. The food was very tasty and the dishes copious. Good vegan food, nothing to complain about!
Pros: 100% vegan , Stylish interior , Reasonable prices
Cons: 30 minutes walk from the old town, No terrace (beginning of August)

Great vegan food in Riga - Edit
I had a great meal at Green Pumpkin last night. I chose a snack plate for starter which was HUGE, it’s probably a sharing plate, but ho hum I polished it all off myself! I then had a really hearty, filling and tasty penne pasta dish with pumpkin and cashews. Unreal! My only disappointment was I was so full from such big dishes I had no room left to try the really delicious looking desserts in the chiller. It’s a trendy, new location, really nice place to sit and eat, and easily found in the Old Town. It is small and lots of tables were reserved, I got lucky when I arrived and I recommend you consider booking in advance. Well worth a visit and well priced – two large courses plus drink just over €20.

Very good - Edit
We went there when they had brunch, which was awesome. It cost 16,5€ per person and included a smoothie, self service of soup and appetizers (they had many different options), one main dish (either omelette or pancakes) and dessert. We had a great meal and everything was delicious.

We rarely have full vegan restaurants at this latitudes. This restaurant offers large selection of hotdogs, hamburgers etc. full vegan. Good location near the old town.

Not great - Edit
Honestly, I do not get what the whole hype is about. We waited for our food for about an hour, it looked like the waitress gave the order to the cooks about 40 minutes since we ordered. Not only did we wait for a long time for food that’s way to overpriced, but it wasn’t delicious in the end. The sausages in the hot dog was very dry and hard to chew. Fries on the side did not have any taste (salt/pepper). The place wasn’t busy at the time we were there.

Cons: Long waiting time, Half of the order wasn’t tasty, Very overpriced

Great place to eat near the old city - Edit
Good music, food, vibes and overall not too pricey. Would recommend for everyone to eat here at least once. For snacks I can recommend the Nachos with cheese sauce, quite a large portion.

Enjoyable - Edit
The service was really nice. For me, when I go into a restaurant it’s one of the first things I look for. I ordered the BBQ burger with onion rings on it. I was stuck between that or the cheese burger so they were kind enough to put cheese on the BBQ burger for me. I got the best of both worlds. The burger was decent. The paddy was a little to soft but that’s just personal preference and it’s hard to get a really good dense vegan patty. The flavour was there though. For desert I got the lemon cake which was really nice. Zesty and really tasty crust! Good combo. All in all I would eat here again but would try something else😄
