Lots of ways to eat falafel - and it was fresh and tasty! Very helpful staff and good value. (Doesn’t accept AmEx)

Ordered vegan, got dairy - Edit
Vegans, avoid this place. Ordered the vegan (vegaani) falafel, came with sour cream. A few bites in, I wanted to vomit, realised the problem. Took it back to the counter, guy couldn’t give a damn. I felt like throwing it at him, but just walked out. Needless to say I will never visit this place (or chain) again. Shame zero stars is not an option.

Totally fine falafel chain - Edit
Compared to many other places serving falafel, Fafa’s is definitely on the better side of things. Their standard pita falafel is vegan by default, the falafel are fresh and decent, and the filling includes hummus and pickles (both of which are essential in a good falafel sandwich in my opinion but usually won’t be included at your standard kebab place). That said, they tend to put a lot of chili in the sandwich, so if you don’t like your falafel too spicy, make sure to specify that when ordering. Prices are okay for Finnish standards, long opening hours are also a plus. The Fafa’s chain seems to be expanding quite fast at the moment and in comparison to the older, cozier places some new locations resemble fastfood restaurants. Staff are always very busy and not overly friendly.

Okay in a pinch - Edit
We decided to come here for dinner out of necessity because it was a Sunday and none of the places we'd rather go to were open. (I find it incredibly tourist-unfriendly that many restaurants in Helsinki take Sundays and Mondays off en masse.)
Read moreI got the vegan mezze. The falafels were decent; so were the cauliflower. Everything else on the plate was bleh. The pita bread was particularly bad. It was served straight out of a bag—cold and stiff—and tasted like cardboard. You'd think they would've warmed it at the very least.
That's said, the food is inexpensive by Finnish standards and will fill you up pretty good. Long opening hours are a plus too. If you're around and want a quick bite that's both vegan and affordable, this place will do just that. All things considered, I feel 3 stars is fair.

Delicious hummus and falafel! - Edit
This is a finish falafel restaurant chain, they have multiple locations in Helsinki but are also expanding to other cities in the country. So, I recommend you check their locations on their website.
Read moreThey mostly sell Falafel sandwiches, but I had a vegan meze platter. That was a plate filled with falafel, hummus, bulgur, tomato sauce, eggplant, cauliflower, salad and pita bread. It was very filling and cost 10 € which is perfectly fine for being in Finland and the amount and quality of food you get.
Perfect for a quick bite! Fresh and good food, the falafels and the hummus are sooo yummy!
Pros: delicious, fast, good value for money (for Finland)

A good place to go, at least if you just need a small quick bite and not a full meal. Affordable!

Tasty Falafel - Edit
I have eaten falafels all over the world. the falafels at Fafa's are some of the best I have had. Perfectly spice and not to salty or greasy. If you crave a falafel, look no further.
