Feels like post-veganism hitting

Stop in here occasionally when I work at Television City. Feels like the vegan options peaked years ago. What they do have is good, but slim pickings compared to other stores. I guess the health nuts have given up veganism as it’s gone mainstream.

Pros: What you can find here is quality

Cons: Shrinking selection of vegan options, Expensive

Elevated grocery experience

I was so excited to visit Erewhon. I have a thing for grocery stores. I love to browse the aisles in search of vegan treats and specialty items. I actually came intending to try the new beverage by Dada Eats. She's a content creator. She recently developed a drink called 'The Perfect Date', which is vegan. I believe it's only available for a limited time. It was 11 dollars, but it was my last day in LA, so it was worth the splurge. It was a tasty latte with oat milk, espresso, a date caramel, and coconut cream. I found the drink pleasant. I usually avoid coffee because it makes me get jittery, but I planned ahead and had a filling breakfast and plenty of water before and after. I didn't buy much except another beverage for later, a lander bliss inspired tonic. But I loved seeing so many vegan options I've never had before. And everyone is so kind and helpful. I would definitely go back. It's a splurge, but some items are priced no differently than other grocery stores in LA.

Top tier market! Makes Whole Foods look like Walmart 🤣

Perfect pit stop when traveling. Nice clean market except everything is overly priced.
You can find snacks drinks fruit veggies like a regular market.
Had to come here since they have many raw vegan options on their menu and to go’s that are mouth watering.
Many low fat options too which can be tricky to find when eating out that’s not a salad.

Had their buffalo cauliflower wrap and and handful of fresh squeezed juices for the road-trip

Pros: Many options , Café & menu , Juices

Cons: Super expensive , Expensive , Did I mention crazy expensive

THANK GOODNESS FOR EREWHON

Erewhon represents the finest in Los Angeles' obsession with longevity and 'being cool'. Apparently None of want to die and get old.
On the basis that all illness begins in the mind ( according to the vedic sciences) this place really gives you pause to reflect.
Its slogan - "if its here its good for you' deeply taps the polarity planet - good, bad, right, wrong etc.
That being said they have researched the finest on organic, vegan, sustainable and raw and do there best to deliver it in a aesthetic and manner which is pleasing and decodes the mystery of wellbeing.
I love sending my guests to Erewhon because its quinessential Los Angeles - right down to the odd server who is so stoned that he just can not focus on you long enough to take your order.
Highlights are the raw pizza, coconut cream beverage, the raw cream, availability of brown rice tortilla and Apricot Farms biodynamic farm produce.
Watch out for the super overpriced CBD rage.

Pros: A CURATED COLLECTION OF FINE EPICURIE

Cons: OVERPRICED , THE HYPOCRISY THAT LURKS JUST UNDER THE SURFACE

Pricey and classy

To be absolutely honest, I did not buy anything from this market. Everything was too expensive and there wasn't anything that I could've found at Sprouts or Trader Joe's. But I must admit, they have a great selection of vegan options and they have a broad selection overall. If I had the money, I would definitely buy my groceries from here. They have amazing products.

Pros: Wide selection

Cons: Expensive

Great supermarket.

I'm not at all a fan of supermarkets, now this one is pretty great and comparable to a little Whole Foods Market.

They have a lot of vegan options for lunch, dinner, desserts, biscuits till even raw vegan plates which is quite unique and a lot of things are from local other vegan companies which is great (they also have a small in house place to eat 'KarmaBaker', I haven't tried it).

It is definitely not the cheapest solution, now they also have a wide range of organic fruits and vegetables, making it for me really easy and the most find when I travel in the US.

I hope that the organic and vegan options they propose, should and will become a must have in all supermarkets in the future.

Always happy to find such a supermarket when I travel.

I even bought some B12 here with great advice.

Pros: A lot of vegan products, Great initiative

Cons: Expensive

Awesome store

Didn't think I'd ever say this but Whole Foods pales compared to Erewhon. The selection of ready-to-go items at both the deli and the cooler was amazing and honestly a bit overwhelming for us first timers... in a great way! Everything looked so good; they even had an entire raw food section with all kinds of wraps, pizzas, pies, desserts, etc. They also seemed to carry a lot more smaller, local, independent brands, which was great for people like myself who are always on the hunt for new things to try out. The store was tidy and well-organized; the atmosphere was uplifting. A fantastic shopping experience overall!

Pros: impressive vegan/raw selection

Great Store & Food Bar

Long ago I had read about this place on happycow, and here's my Erewhon Natural Foods Market review.

Erewon is the ultimate independent health food market in the Mid/West Los Angeles area. The selections are complete and extensive.

Just the other day, I was blown away with then new inventory of raw foods products (2 isles full). The salad bar and hot foods bar offers a good range as well.

A totally enjoyable shopping experience. I just wish I lived closer to it so I can support it more often.

Pros: large selections, nice atompshere, good salad bar

Erewhon

I've been to Los Angeles several times in my life and have driven by Erewhon many times not knowing that they are a natural food store with a plethora of vegan items. So I stopped by to get my usual snacks during my trip and scoped out the entire store. After checking things out I had left really wishing we had one of these in Chicago. I'm a loyal Whole Foods shopper, however, Erewhon carries things WFM doesn't. The selection was just different and I was intrigued by many of their deli (store packed) items (such as their vegan mac and cheese). I did happen to notice that their produce was kind of bad, for instance some of the oranges were rotting, so I skipped getting my usual oranges. Despite the produce issue, if an Erewhon was in Chicago I'd be shopping there and at WFM for the different selections.

Great little store

Erewhon is a great store although it is a little pricey. It definitely carries items you can't get elsewhere which is why I shop here. I used to live much closer, so now I have to stock up if I come. Speaking of stocking up, I love the bulk section. It actually has stuff vegans use, like nutritional yeast, broth mix and sucanat. It's also unlike Whole Foods as you don't have to smell and see the awful butcher area while shopping here (although they do carry some meat). If you think you have to order something online, check here first. They probably have it! It's really oriented towards vegetarians/vegans/raw, not mainstream shoppers who buy organic meat and farmed fish.

Pros: carries a ton of vegan stuff, bulk section, easy parking

Cons: has some meat

I wish Whole Foods could be this cool

Erewhon is great. I saw Minnie Driver there once. Its right next to the Grove (neat outdoor mall) Parking is awesome, no hassles. They carry the Vegan kitchen in the deli in bulk, but its not labeled. They've got a great assortment of vegan cookies.

Pros: parking, vegan friendly
