Like School Cafeteria Food

Ten years ago this was a pretty good place. Now, you basically pay $20 for lukewarm-to-cold food that tastes frozen at best, or like elementary school cafeteria food. Lots of tourists who probably do not know of far better options.

Pros: Variety, I guess

Cons: Taste of the food, Temperature of the food, Price of the food

Not as good as I "remember "?

There are a few dishes without cheese (not sure if the cheese is vegetarian) including plain-old cooked vegetables and cantaloupe, yay. Ingredients posted. You won't starve , which, in Houston, is something.

Pros: Vegetables

Cons: Not cheap, if all you can have is plain vegetable

Hold on. Here's why it wasn't as good as I remember: because I remembered the way-better Westchase / Westheimer location. I will add that to Happy Cow, but know it has, among other things, couscous, three kinds of hummus, garbanzo beans, more salads, more (rotating) vegetable selections.

plenty of choice

you have a lot of variety and as a Vegan also enough options. I had three plates danish coffee. Left the place stuffed 😉 basic seating but plenty of them. I would come back for it

Pros: lots of choices (Vegan Vegetarian), fair price, clean

Vegan Options Galore

Great food. Lots of vegan selections in the buffet, all clearly marked as vegan and including ingredients. A bonus is the rose water, which is so fragrant, light, and refreshing. Beautiful hand-painted domed ceiling, lovely music, moderate price.

Cons: Too bad they serve meat too!

Highway Robbery

Eight of us had an early lunch at Dimassi's today (before noon). You pay on the way out the door, so beware of highway robbery! We were charged about $20.00 more than we had expected because of a made up (on the spot?) "holiday" price. There was no sign on the door, no "holiday" price list, no warning whatsoever. So long, Dimassi's! That'll be our last time in or out of those doors!

Cons: Dingy, Expensive

One of our favorite places in Houston!

Dimassi's is an excellent idea: a whole all you can eat buffet of Mediterranean food! Most of the food is actually vegan. You can fill your plate with salads, grains, beans, hummus, baba ganouj, roasted potatoes, seasoned eggplant, falafel balls, and on and on. The eggplant dish is very good. There is also an excellent rice dish with lentils in it. Ingredients for all items are clearly marked next to the items on the buffet, so there is never any question what is vegan or not. There is also vegan lentil soup, and fresh fruit available for dessert. Again, it is all you can eat, and quite excellent buffet fare!

Pros: all you can eat, mostly vegan, excellent variety
