Decent quick spot - Edit
We got the barbecue sandwich which really didn’t taste anything like barbecue, but was filling enough for two of us. The price was very fair and they are cash only but allowed us to use a card machine upstairs in the vegan thai restaurant. The woman behind the counter did spend about 8 minutes continually trying to upsell us which was a bit aggravating and confusing.

Cheap, delicious, a winner! (cash only) - Edit
This place is the perfect little hole in the wall. All of their food is delicious, the prep is fast, and it's suuuuper cheap. The cheapest lunch you can get around. It's not the kind of place you want to sit and eat necessarily, but it doesn't need to be.

Absolute heaven!! - Edit
Went for the first time yesterday.. I have always gone to My Thai (which is just above this store) when eating out in Chinatown before. Now that I know how amazing the banmi and spring rolls are here I’m definitely going to be going out of my way to get food here! Looks like a hole in the wall, but run by a lovely lady who makes the best banmi in Boston!

Delicious food - Edit
We had to stop by. It looks a bit like a hole in the whole but the options and prices can’t be beat. I had a sandwich with tofu and veggies. So yummy and for so cheap! Their noodles and other buffet options are a must try!

killer bahnmi - Edit
Took a bahnmi to go, it was sooo good! A delicious interplay if flavors and made by the owner with pride. Spicy, sweet, savory, juicy, crunchy! And super inexpensive for a large hoagie type sandwich.

Good bánh mì - Edit
Had the vegan bánh mì and it was pretty darn good.
Read moreThe place however looks like it could do with a good scrub. It was a bit of a mess, which brings the place's overall hygiene into question.
You could call that character though. Plus, it's cheap. So can't complain really.

Yummy sandwiches - Edit
The sandwiches are always really good, tried both the BBQ seitan and fried tofu and they were both delicious! This is a take-out place, so don't expect to come here and sit down. It's definitely worth coming here though.

I got the crispy spring rolls, and those things were so good! This place looks as if it just opened up and is still organizing everything together, except I don't think that's the case.

Food Quality -
Sandwiches are assembled in a sort of Subway-style method. They start with a baguette, put tomatoes and lettuce on the bottom, and then put in a generous helping of Vietnamese food.
There are 6 different types of filling to choose from, my girlfriend had red curry with tofu and veggies and I had BBQ seitan. After this, the sandwich is toasted in a small toaster oven. Our baguettes were very stale and the sandwich filling was stone cold even after its brief stint in the toaster oven. The sandwich filling itself tasted alright, but not good enough to make up for the lack of temperature and the rock hard baguette. All that said, it was dirt cheap.
I'd be willing to make a return visit and give it another shot. Maybe I was just there on an off day.

Best vegan lunch in downtown Boston! - Edit
Quick meals that are delicious and mostly nutritious...with desserts to die for. It is like a sampler of My Thai with a lower price point. Service is always friendly and fast enough. Cash only, but they will run upstairs to process credit cards.

Odd - Edit
This place was a little weird. We wound up going upstairs to My Thai Vegan Café first before we realized this was the place we were looking for. Its kind of divey but the food was pretty good. Has a set menu of different sandwichs to take with you. The lady behind the counter was really nice. The food was ok. Not sure I'd make another effort to go out of my way but it wasn't so bad I wouldn't go back. Owned by the people upstairs at My Thai Vegan Café.

Best sandwich ever! - Edit
This place is amazing I had a fake meat BBQ sub with peanuts, salad and chilli and it was quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. I also had a lovely mango smoothie and some carrot cake. Very friendly staff, highly recommended.

More Amazing Thai/Vietnamese Vegan - Edit
Visiting Boston again, and we went to My Thai, but noticed Cuong's Vegan next door. Turns out it is run by the owners of My Thai, and it has to be some of the best takeout in Boston, if not anywhere. Curries, noodles, rices, fake meats, all vegan, all delicious. Have to try this one.

Simply Delicious - Edit
As soon as I saw that this place was opening up next to My Thai Vegan Cafe, I knew I was going to have to eat here. The other day I had the perfect opportunity to do so and was not disappointed! The food was delicious (I got the red curry sandwich), and the price was unbelievable. There's no seating which is something to keep in mind if you plan on eating here - only grab food if you're on the go or headed back to work!

Fantastic food, fantastic value - Edit
We came for a quick dinner before a concert downtown. We ordered the papaya salad and the green curry sandwich. The papaya salad was huge, and the woman behind the counter made it with great care. She mixed the ingredients and sauces into the papaya shreds one by one, and the result was a refreshing salad with beautifully balanced flavors and textures.
Read moreSince we arrived relatively late, there was not enough green curry left, so she offered to give me a mix of green and red curry. This was ideal, because I was having trouble deciding between the two in the first place! The curries were both delicious, and the peanuts and hot sauce on top of the sandwich rounded it off very nicely.
In all, our feast came to a whopping total of $11.50 - an amazing value. We will definitely be coming back.
Pros: Cheap, Fast, Delicious
