Awesome place

I've been here three times now and am planning on going again. Everything I've had has been great! I have tried to order new things each time I've gone, so I've tried a few of their dishes now. I say a few, because their menu is enormous! It has taken me ages to order each time I've gone. The atmosphere is great too, the place is beautiful.
The menu is in pictures and has English (not perfect, but pretty good for China). The staff don't really speak English but it's not a big issue (I only speak very basic Chinese).
You are expected to order tea, but you can order a cup each (the cheapest is 10 yuan) and they refill it with hot water throughout your stay, which is great.
It's very easy to find, Shizu road is full of tea houses and this one actually has "Vegetarian" written on the front next to the Chinese name.
The staff are friendly and the food comes pretty quickly.
Prices are pretty average for Chinese restaurants, maybe slightly above, with most dishes between 20 and 40 yuan. They are all big enough for sharing though.
You do have to watch out for them bringing you what seems like a complementary starter (fruit or seeds or something), which in the end you will get charged for unless you tell them you don't want it.

Pros: Amazing food, Beautiful atmosphere, Tea refills
Cons: Staff doesn't speak much English

A place for a nice dinner

Beautiful venue and easy to find. My dishes weren't that special though, but maybe I just made the wrong choices. Probably a good spot for a nice dinner.

Pros: Nice setting, Friendly staff
Cons: Fairly expensive, Poor English skills

If you want decent and delicious vegetarian Chinese food, this is the place to go! The staff speaks little or no English, however the menu has limited English (but it does have pictures). The restaurant, I think, is run by a Buddhist group and has services upstairs at time. There are separate time for food and tea service. The kitchen closes at 2:30pm for food and reopens (I think) around 6:00pm.

Recommendations are "Fragrant Garden" and the super awesome "Words in a bag" (which you might want to get two servings). The fake abalone I would avoid, very cold and squishy with little flavor. The place focus is on tea, so you are expected to get a pot. There is no bottled water and any water you ask for will be hot.

You might want to use Google Translate or a phrasebook the help you communicate with the staff about what dishes are spicy or not if you can't speak Chinese very well.

This place accepts cash only. It is across the street from the Central Square McDonald's.

Pros: Great food, Menu with pictures
Cons: Language barrier
