Cafe Chidori is lovely. We went out by train and it does take a while to find but is totally worth it. Just go to the station above and either walk or do what we did and got a taxi rang he lady and got her to tell the man the address. Its out the back of there house so is very hidden this is usual in Japan.
We ordered the raw burrito, curry plate, and quiche plate. This was way to much food for two people but I wanted to try everything !
With each meal you get a soup before and a dessert and drink after.
So we had a lovely brocolli soup. And for dessert was a apple pie mm will post pictures above.
everything was delicious highly recommend it. We booked three days ahead and ti was fine. But I speak Japanese so get someone to help you if you cant not.Pays to ring as I tried the email on the site but don't think they got it.
- some things were a bit heavy on the fat side and saltly. got a bit thirsty after.

Before you go to Cafe Chidori, make sure to email them or give them a call and tell them when you are coming. They also would like to know whether you would like to have the raw lunch set for 2000 or 4000 yen. It would be best if you speak Japanese or have sb. who speaks Japanese call / email for you, as they only speak Japanese. The lunch set for 2000 yen includes soup, salad, main course, mini desert. I had a pumpkin soup, some kind of salad, raw spaghetti with raw ricotta cheese, and a cookie + chocolate mouse. It was delicious. And the staff (a couple) is very friendly. So it is definitely worth the trainride from Tokyo city center.

In order to get to Cafe Chidori, take the Seibu Shinjuku line from Takadanobaba to Musashiseki. You can only take the local or the semi-express, the others do not stop at your destination. If you look at the route from Musashiseki station to the cafe at google maps and print it out and take it with you, and then precicely follow the map, you'll find the cafe easily. It is only a 5 minute walk from the station.

So, it takes some time to get there from Tokyo city center, and the staff does not speak english, but the food is very good and the cafe is nice and they are very friendly!

Pros: great raw food, friendly staff, quiet and nice neighborhood
Cons: 30 min. from Takadanobaba station
